I've just used DHL to get some bank cards here.
They got here in the end but the overall service especially considering the price was absolute garbage.
My son in UK and me here agreed that we would only ever use them again if there was no alternative
I agree about only using them if there is no alternative but that seems to be the situation. Last time I used them the item went to Phuket and came up from there. Took a while but I was able to track it all the way rather than lose it into the void hoping it would surface eventually.
DHL - the booking in of the parcel (just an A4 size envelope) was so overly difficult and couldn't be completed for almost a week due technical difficulties
Both my son and I contacted support and got zero response
We took a flyer in the end (over a certain issue) and technical support finally responded to my son 3 days after the parcel got here(8 days in total). I got no response at all
Also having spent 45£ sending 4 pieces of paper and a couple of plastic bank cards you would have thought that having asked for my mobile number on the order that they would've texted me throughout the process to track parcel.
I never received one text
And the tracking all had to be done manually and the tracking number was quite unclear. I had to basically guess what it was based on a bunch of numbers of the receipt, none of which said tracking number or had a link
Very poor service
I would use Royal mail international tracked and signed in future wherever possible. However they have issues at the moment and are advising customers not to send stuff (are they on strike?)

I posted 2 parcels to the UK (Southampton and Scotland - very remote) a couple of days ago. They are currently en-route from Thailand to the UK - will keep you all posted on progress.
I recently had a need to send a debit card from the UK to my home here in Hua Hin. I contacted DHL in the UK but they declined the service stating they were not allowed to courier bank cards. Coincidentally persons unknown attempted illegally to charge a food delivery to my debit card (in Indonesia!). My UK bank (Barclays) rang me to ask whether the attempted transaction was me - when told no they blocked the transaction. In fact three attempts were made that same day. The bank recommended canceling my existing card and offered to deliver a new card. When I explained I was in Thailand they said they would courier the new card which arrived within the promised seven days. The courier was DHL.....!!
Can't comment on current Royal Mail difficulties but have had UK Debit Cards sent by Royal Mail International Tracked on 3 occaisions in the last year. Each time they arrived in Hua Hin about 10 days after posting.
About 1 year ago I had an expensive item shipped from India. The tracking and service was exemplary; UNTIL it landed in Thailand. The local delievery, which was supposed to be signed for, was handed out to a local delivery provider. He dumped the package in the Condo restaurant without any notice or signature, except the automated email from DHL.
My complaint to DHL was quick and decisive from the Bangkok office. It may be that just the local agents are the problem. The following person sorted it out:

Being fair to EMS I can report that my package which left the Bangkok international sorting centre on 21st is now showing as being in Coventry so progress is being made and it only has to now find its way to Southampton so all is not lost.
The link that Big Boy put in appears to be an individual going by the Facebook name. I am not saying the person is making any false representations but would naturally be cautious dealing with an individual without checking accreditation particularly when sending sensitive
