International courier

Post by cookie102 »

I am sure this has been asked before but I may need to have some papers couriered from the UK for signature and then return them.
Any suggestions of who to use in Hua Hin please

Thai Post can send tracked documents - I’ve used them many years ago but I’m certain they can still be relied upon.

I've just used Thai Post Tracking to send a letter to the UK and was able to track it all the way to the destination in England.

UK post offer a similar facility. So long as its tracked, your documents will get through - usually fairly quickly as well.

I sent a document to the uk using EMS through the post office and it was tracked to the airport and “departed export office” on 21st but nothing since. Beginning to worry as it is important.

I read that the Royal Mail in the UK has been experiencing problems associated with outbound international services - no idea whether inbound services are affected?

I have a Zoom meeting with UK family every Tuesday. Industrial action was one subject we discussed. They told me that international outbound mail was not being accepted, although incoming mail is getting through.

I know that there used to be a DHL counter in Bluport (long gone) but searching the web has failed to identify any service point for fedex, UPS, DHL or any recognised international courier company. There must be some way of sending/receiving using these reputable companies. Can anyone advise?

DHL used to have an office in HH but that was many years ago - if a web search has drawn a blank then presumably they’ve closed shop. Most people rely on the Thai Postal Service (EMS) although that’s been in question recently!! (As I think you’ve experienced yourself).

I used these guys in the past for work related shipping. Expensive service but no issues.

This new place (opening 27 Jan) at the new Yimm's Mall on the Khlong Road, opposite bridge 6) includes the DHL logo in it's signs.

Thanks for those two locations. The wallet quivers with fear at the mention of DHL but needs must and for the docs I need to send time and security are paramount.
