Phetchaburi Immigration Office - New Location

Post by Taf in Cha-am »

Sharing the following article with some good news from those living in Cha-am/Phetchaburi who need to make runs to the immigration office: https://royalcoastreview.com/2023/02/ne ... XsFwbbyBfI

From the article: "The new location is likely to be much more convenient for Cha-Am expats or temporary residents, being around 10 road kilometres from Cha-Am and around 3 kilometres inland from Phetchakasim Road, however that’s quite a bit further to travel from Phetchaburi city than Tha Yang."

Thailand’s Phetchaburi immigration office to move next month
The office will move from its current location in Tha Yang to a new office in Cha-am, with the opening date scheduled for March 20, 2023.

The new location will be situated in Khao Yai sub-district, near Khao Nang Phanthurat Forest Park, and is expected to offer better facilities to both staff and visitors. The new building is modern, spacious, and better equipped to handle the growing number of applications and enquiries received by the agency.

I went to the new office located on the north side of Cha Am and it’s a much nicer building, but of all days to choose, this morning they had some form of merit making going on, so what should have been a 15-20 minute stop to get a re-entry stamp took the best part of 1.1/2 hours 🤬
