This kicks off today. I didn't get a reminder. In case there's anybody else, don't forget to make your picks.

Some great attendances for the 2 opening matches. 40K+ in New Zealand and 75K+ in Australia. Brilliant for Girlie Footie.

I'm watching the games. Nice to have some footy on... but the quality is just so, so bad. The later games will be better but, ugh, it's painful.

Oh, maybe it isn't coming home . Judging by tonight's farce, I reckon China may have bought the cup,

Oh dear.... Clutching at straws again BB? Surely even you can't be making excuses just yet?  :duck:

Brazil or Japan could be worth an outside bet as to where it's heading this time around......

No, I've seen it in Thailand where VAR is used to buy trophies. The China vs Haiti game had too many similarities - it was blatant.

I've got a very bad feeling about this evening's game with China. Having watched the previous China game, it was clear the referee was on the Chinese payroll. One of the worst displays of refereeing I've seen outside of Thailand.

If my fears are realised, it could see the Lionesses on a plane home tomorrow

Oh come now BB - the desperation is starting to show.... When have you ever known the Chinese Government/State to use underhanded tactics??!!  :duck:

I've seen Madame Pang's MO in Thailand. I think the Chinese have bought her VAR Cheating For Dummies handbook. It has to be for Dummies because it is so blatant.

Changing tack, a close call for the reigning champions, kept in the tournament by the woodwork a few minutes ago.

Just watched the tail end of the Portugal vs USA match - not exactly an exciting scoreline and don't know what the first 75 odd minutes was like, but have to admit the end was quite exciting! Headless chicken times with the USA desperately trying to hang on, which they did - but could well have gone out only for the post saving them in the dying minutes.

One thing I have noticed though is the length of extra time added, 8 minutes in this case and there's been more in some matches. Why can't they stop the clock as they do in rugby, or at least spread the time added on over the 2 halves?

Anywho, I may just watch/listen to the Lillywhites playing later this morning....

[EDIT] Sorry BB - "Crossed Posts"..

I'm already sat on the front porch, England shirt on. Currently watching Ainsley Harriett cooking some type of World Cup pizza for Sam Allardyce. Roll on the footie.

Zoom call to the UK to deal with first though.
