Fulham might have done Everton a favour by knocking them out of the Cup after a penalty shootout - now they can concentrate on league survival!!

The funniest aspect of the whole thing is the reaction of the other blokes on the bench - they don't know where to look!

The 1st sacking of the New Year then - though it doesn't seem to be a huge surprise.

Wayne Rooney: Birmingham City to sack manager after just 15 games in charge

Rooney sacked after 15 games as Birmingham manager. Failed to win 13 of those. Took over in a bizarre decision from the board when Birmingham were sitting pretty in 5th. They're now 20th. The last time a manager was this bad was way back in in the month of Neverary.

Have you no sympathy with the poor man? He's out of work! How will he make a living? He has a wife and 9 children to support as well as the families of several relatives in prison. Shame on you, Lost.

Good game going on in the Spanish Super Cup final. A Madrid/Barca clash. Madrid two up in ten minutes, before Lewandowski pulled one back. Few minutes later Vinicius Junior completes a 39 minute hattrick to leave it 3-1 at half time. Want Barcelona to pull another back, make it interesting! :D

Jose Mourinho: Roma sack former Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid manager

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67990821

Jose Mourinho has been sacked as Roma manager with the club currently ninth in Serie A.

The Portuguese, 60, took over in May 2021 and led Roma to the Europa Conference League title a year later.

But they are five points off Serie A's final Champions League qualifying spot and last week were knocked out of the Coppa Italia by city rivals Lazio.

Owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin thanked Mourinho "for the passion and commitment he has shown" as boss.

"We will always have great memories of his stewardship, but we believe that, in the best interests of the club, immediate change is necessary," they added in a statement.
