From what I've seen over the last year or 2 is that the C-Port has come in more and more. As mensioned on this thread, my Lenovo Tab has a C-Port, but also my Samsung phone has the same connection, my (and the LHG's) Earbuds have a C-Port for charging. In fact, aside from any "Apple" devices - all connections now have C-Ports (though we do have a few ancient mobiles stuffed away   ).

Obviously on some devices the USB-C Port is for charging only and not data transfer which hhinner correctly pointed out :thumb: , but it's becoming far more common. BTW, for those that use portable Charging Stations/Blocks, the vast majority of these will have the C-Prt as well as the older standard USB size/shape port.

 I hadn't thought of Bluetooth devices, but I think you are right, I have a few cables with those that will work with the tablet. Good thinking that man :D

^Yes, I've just had a look and I found four of those usb-c cables without leaving my seat!
As for chargers, I have one that's at least 15 years old and they long outlive the devices they came with.

Laptops and tablets with USB “C”connectors have been around quite some time - I bought a HP Spectre laptop back in 2017 and it only has one USB “A” connector, the others including for charging are USB “C”.

My latest Apple iPad and iPhones have USB C connectors - I picked up a fast (20W) charger and cable in an IT shop in Cha Am for 400 and something Baht

Looks like you chose the charging cable only variation. I hate when they put a low price but display a more expensive variation.

Yes, but the description clearly says 'Samsung charger 25w'

Anyway, off to Samsung now to buy one.

It does say that but 108bt would be a bit optimistic for an original Samsung charger!

Having no idea what they should cost, I wouldn't know. Actually, I do now - 450฿. Even buying one had problems. The guy asked what colour, black or white? I asked what the difference was and he said one is white and one is black. I told him to surprise me

When I got home and opened the box, it was white.

So my new tablet is now complete. Thanks to everybody for their help.

White blends with the wall for the style conscience, black for those with bad eyesight so they can find it.  :duck:

Re: Looking For New Tablet

Moving this thread forward now i.e. I have the tablet, and now realise, although I haven't spent a fortune, it is quite powerful.

First thing was to enable it for all live Thai and Premier League football - simple.

Next was to add my VPN - again simple. However, when looking for BBC iPlayer, it tells me, "This app isn't available on Google Play in your region." When looking for itvX it simply finds nothing.

Does anybody know how to get iPlayer and itvX on to the tablet please?

Its to do with your Google account, which is a Thailand one. You need to sign in with a UK-based Google account, and the apps will show up in Play Store. I have two different regional ones on my device for that reason.

I've changed the region to UK, but no joy.

Need the VPN on UK also, that method worked for me (not that I could ever get itvX to stream properly).
