How do servers work?

Post by PeteC »

Is HHAD hosted on a non-USA server site? I ask as just about every evening here when the USA wakes up there and gets rolling, it is damn near impossible to connect to a USA based site you want, quickly. Connecting to HHAD is never a problem, 24/7.

I'm beginning to think Thai ISP servers (or perhaps TOT/CAT portals) have just so many "slots" for traffic to and from a particular country? Very frustrating at times. Pete

A quick search give this address:
United States - California

Right or wrong, only Lev or buksida can tell.

Yes this server is in CA. Connection problems are usually due to bandwidth constraints at the ISP end, especially in Thailand. You may experience some slowness at peak times in the Stats if their servers are overloaded.

Yes playboy.
You have to use a "who is" tool.
