Hi all
Can anyone tell me if its possible to set up a website for free. I am just keen to have a site of my own and play around a little to get the hang of things.

As mentioned above anyone can setup a free blog and slap some stuff on there.
All depends what you want it for and what you want from it, as we know things are free for a reason so these "free 50 megs hosting" or "free readyplanet websites" will more than likely be very limited and contain ads or links that support the providers, if you can live with their junk no problem.
If you want a website for anything remotely professional or business orientated I would avoid the "freebies" and consult a pro unless you're fully conversant in internet technologies yourself.
