Never forget the toads/frogs. If you're lucky enough to see one on your premises, capture it, speak good to it and think lucky. Never, ever kill it or try to eat it. I'm assured that you'll win the lottery this way and all your ills will fade away.
You've got to believe though.

Got hundreds of those little blighters at my place

Lomu, have you seen when Thais catch a frog in the village, put talcum powder on its belly, and let it hop around for a while; they then catch it again and look for any patterns in the powder that resemble lottery numbers!
