You mean "Blood Diamond" in English? One of the films that Leonardo DeCaprio was nominated for (Golden Globe) Best Actor in? Actually in English? In Hua Hin?

Naah, bet it's a typo!

I have watched a few films in English (including Blood Diamond) at the Cineplex. Foreigners can't really complain because even though its in English, there ain't too many attend.

What an acting performance by Di Caprio by the way!

I downloaded this one and was most impressed - one of the best films I've seen in the last year or so.

It would be nice if there was somewhere reliable that we could find out when the English language versions are on though, without having to go all the way to the cinema to find out that (a) there are no English language versions of current films on; or (b) there are only Thai films on, with no indication of whether they have English subtitles; or (c) you have just missed the only English language version of the film you wanted to see. The cinema has been approached about giving advance information on all of this to the local publications but they are not interested. If they can't do that then they could at least be consistent with having set times when they show all non-Thai films with the original soundtrack. The non attendance by foreigners is down to their lack of promotion, not the lack of desire from foreigners.

Fair point Mr WL. If I was the general Manager the place would be packed oot!

1. Ticket booth at ground level.

2. 10 minute loudspeaker announcements before each show to all shoppers (in Thai & English).

3. Wednesday classic movie nights.

4. Proper clear schedules given to local publications and national newspapers.

5. Tesco promotion (Every 10,000 baht spent 1 free ticket if accompanied by another adult).

If you do eventually find oot whits oan, I recommend the plush seats at the back. Its not that much dearer and you get a blanket which you need cos' the place is freezin' man! You can hide things under the blanket as well.
