Jaime
While not quite on the same topic,I read an article in the Buenes Aires Herald that had been reprinted from the New York times concerning the secretarian strife in the 3 southern and predominately moslem states. The article described a much worsening situation even after the coup of 4 months ago that brought in new attempts at reconciliation. It described beheadings at least 115 schools being torched and a general no go area for the military.I have not seen any of this worsening situation being reported on CNN or BBC world. Is it being reported in Britsh press or Thai media.last I read was of a bomb in Bangkok about 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Not really being reported on the radio or television news. Thailand is, after all, a political backwater. There are infrequent articles on the BBC web pages but usually confined to the Asia-Pacific section.

Hear very little about the Southern strife in Aus unless it's something major. The bombings in Bangkok were widely reported. The only reason we know anything about the trouble is because I quite often read the Bangkok Post and the wife watches Thai Global Network on the TV.
