Does anyone know of a Thai lawyer in Bangkok that speaks english?
Please include the lawyers contact information.
Also, does anyone know if it is possible for me to have my firearms(guns) shipped to me here in Thailand? Would a Thai lawyer be able to help me with this?

Part of it....firearms in the possession of a farang here is an absolute no, except at a firing range or similar where you rent them. Purchase by a farang is impossible.
The only exception to the above is if you are assigned here to work with the Thai authorites in liasion with the FBI, DEA, Military etc. Pete

Hello , you sound like another gun crazy american guy like me. I leave my guns in the usa under lock and key, but have managed to bring over archery equipment. some of the hunting bows of around 40 pounds or above are used for deer hunting in the states, so that might provide you with some kind of a weapon capable of hurting something. I guess they can even ship them to you mailorder. There are bow clubs in pattaya and chaing mai. I was thinking of starting one in Hua hin. it is a fun sport. Like being robin hood. I bought my last bow from cabelas, which has a big catalog or online shopping. It breaks down into 3 pieces, and will even fit in a carry on. There are no metal parts, so even a metal detector would not go off. Arrows would probably have to be part of checked baggage. With a 40 lb. bow, ranges of 50 to 100 yards are possible. some people at the pattaya club even have sights for better accuracy. Its a lot quieter than a gun, and ammo is free as you can use the arrow over and over.

This thread should be deleted...there is no place in this world for Americans who think they have a "right to bear arms " because their founding fathers thought it was "their right "to do so. The civilised world doesnt need American values...keep your firearms in "Good Old USA '..keep killing yourselves'...the world really does'n't care how many people you kill in your own country ....

I left my Mak 90 (Chinese AK 47, Norinco Arms Beijing), 75 round drum, both bannana clips plus my special 5 round clips for deer hunting or that dear hunting all locked up back home in middle America. Gee so is my 1946 Mosin Nagant, 67 dollar gun show special, new in the cosmoline wrapping M44 rifle, surplus eastern bloc rifle, What about the 10 guage double barrel, the black powder rifle w/scope, the 30-30 Winchester cowboy style gun. fun fun fun.
I have considered bringing them over in a goods shipment and have my child or Thai friend "own them"!

You didn't hear it from me but I distinctly remember deer getting caught down range for M60 A1-A3 gunnery practice for machine guns etc. back in Germany just liek they paid for the centuries old stone bridges and sixteenth century towns we rolled through. The US govt paid for everything even their potential bambi's.
Well fed deer are good eating though. If the herd is not culled they will likely suffer as they tend to overstress their ecosystem.
You would be surprised though how many SKS's (another eastern bloc assault rifle) are used in deerhunting.
The round used 7.62x 39 is the same as the Ak and the SKS is widely available in large numbers inexpensively on the gun show circuit.
To answer the question I have shot a deer with an AK 47 but that was only after my stepson had shot it first with an SKS. It is wrong to leave a wounded animal. I was only a using a 5 round clip which is legal in my state with a proper tag and meeting all other hunter safety qualifications.
