Taxi to new airport

Post by pfotoguy369 »

I kinda perused this topic but didn't see an answer.

I need to take a taxi from HH to the new airport. (I don't travel light)
Large suitcase, backpack, and camera equipment so the van is out of the question.

anyone have an idea of taxi fair or even better a trustworthy driver?

thanks in advance

Our taxi services have resumed, we can also offer limos for that extra comfort, go here and fill in the form to book it online:

www.taxihuahin.net

We are also aware that you can get there for a couple of hundred baht cheaper in a battered Nissan.

Yes, we suspended all taxi services last month following the loss of Dr Dave as our office and company were being restructured.

We are now working with a new taxi and limo operator.

You don't need to pay more than 2000 baht, and if you're a regular you can do it for less, HH-airport and airport-HH. If you'd like a phone number, let me know. (And no, it's not my business!)
This is the way

As stated, you can pick any local up in an old car that will take you for less.

Our service offers brand new vehicles, safe and reliable drivers, and online booking with confirmation vouchers. Some may feel that it is worth an extra few baht ... some wont.

Do all the cars in HHAD fleet have safety belts?

Frequently off-the-street taxis lack them alltogether or they are under the seat covers and the driver
cann't be bothered to excavate them out.

As far as I'm aware they do, most new cars these days have rear seat belts fitted.

Off the street taxis lack a lot of things, which is why they are cheaper.

Thanks for all the replies.

mostly concerned with 3 things

getting to the airport on time

no smoking in cab

has AC

as far as it being new or a few years old, don't really care.

this is my first trip from here so I'm checking things out.

Usually from Pattaya I paid 1400 + 100 tip and that included tolls

Then they got the bus going.

150 bt and a van picked you up at your house and took you to the bus station. and the bus dropped you off at the terminal.

I know this isn't Pattaya but 2800 seems a little high to me.

but again thanks for all the info

pfotoguy369, the price of petrol in Thailand is very expensive at present, and taking into account the appx 6hr 550-600km round trip that they guy makes (and may travel up empty and only get your return fare), the $2800 baht the price seems a pretty reasonable price especially if there is more than one of you.

If they are using new or 1 to 2 year old cars they will all have regulation front & rear seatbelts by law.
The only time this may differ is if you happen to use a Minibus where I think that only the front seat passengers are required to be belted in. Normally rear seat passengers have no belts available

All I have been in have A/C, and I have not been in one where the driver smokes.
All you have to do is to make it clear when you book that you require a non smoking cab. I am not sure on the law overthere, but here in Australia neither Driver or Passengers are allowed to smoke in the vehicle.

Do not even think about using the local Blue/White buses, door to door is the way to go.
