At the risk of sounding a total fool is it possible to travel using your own car (say registered in Thailand) to "exotic" places like Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Malaysia and Singapore. Are there border problems and costs that I need to be aware of?

I did a quick search but couldn't find it. Do you have the name of the thread. I've been thinking of doing the same thing. Woundering if there is a bond you have to pay to get your car into these countries.

Most of all woundering what it takes to get it back into Thailand?
Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?

Pardon my pedantry, but how does the thread title reconcile with the topic?
Beware of unprovoked comments!

Lovely use of language, klikster, but get your brain in gear - presumably charlesh is planning to invade various countries neighbouring Thailand...
This is the way
