id like to see spain do well,but thats only because they have liverpool players in the squad ,other than that its not the same without any teams from the uk

Yes it does seem strange especially with no Ireland as well. I think this is the first time ever for this competition that none of the Island teams are in. I thinks it happened once in the world cup.

I am predicting Holland as I think they have the best mix in their squad.

I agree about the skills but I can't help remembering the match against Portugal in the World Cup. They spent more time bitching and slapping than playing football and the squad has not changed much.

The bookies got it completely wrong with Greece in 2004 and Denmark in the seventies but they are usually fairly close. I think Holland's only chance is if three of the heavyweights get knocked out by the quarters.

After getting through to Euro 2008 site last it seems that the final must be a team from Group A or B vs a team from group C or D. A bit lop sided IMHO.

I hate to say this but i think Italy will not make it out of the group stage - very tough group and they are not as good as 2 years ago by any stretch.
