Yeah, people started griping about it and interest waned so I replaced it with a general photos thread which can be seen here:

Thanks, found it. Note for Steve G. in case you didn't know Steve...they've just started a train service from Nong Kai to Vientiane over the friendship bridge. I seem to recall it's 0930 over and one late afternoon coming back. Assume they'll expand the schedule if demand dictates. Pete :cheers:
