Re: Burapa (Pattaya) Bike Week 2014

If you want a REAL bike "experience" this is the Thai bike week to attend!! I have not been to the big one in Sturgis, but this is a hell of a shindig.... as my previous posts on this forum indicated. Worth a 2 day visit so you can see everything that goes on and the many thousands of bike...

Re: The bikers thread

Anyone up for a ride this Saturday Jan 11? Khun FJR1300 suggested a run to Pala U waterfall area. He says the road is ok, and knows a decent spot to eat around there. I am not sure how long it takes to get there, or what we might do to use up some time in case we are not hungry when we do get there....

Re: The bikers thread

Was in BKK for other errands and took the Supercorsa to Eak Paiboon Motorsport Co Ltd for mounting and balancing. Initially K. Piroj staff didn't seem too interested in doing the work. My wife had spoken to her in Thai and the reluctance seemed to be because we had not purchased the tire there. (Dif...

Re: The bikers thread

Well I have seen some cruiser type bikes down towards the beach bazar sort of opposite Hagi Japanese Restaurant (Sofitel) and before the entrance to the karaoke bar area. Never checked them out for condition or anything, and not even sure if they are still there...

Pirelli Supercorsa replacement

Well the new skin arrived today. I took some photos of the old one showing outside (no real damage apparent), inside the carcass, about center tread showing approx. 3 cm long longitudinal split . The Cockpit Bridgestone service shop immediately said they would not attempt repair of this damage, and ...

Re: The bikers thread

Yes I have been there, but right now that street is full of demonstrators!! I will mount up this tire, and go up for balancing when all this crap :guns: is done with.

Re: The bikers thread

Hi Guys... well it was too bad but I could not make it for the ride today. Last night I went out to gas up the Fazer and do a quick checkout of the newly installed Rifle windshield, and when I dropped it off the center stand, found a flat rear tire! Should have checked it earlier in the day in case ...

Re: The bikers thread

Riding South on Saturday if anyone else interested, 3 or 4 bikes 'signed up' already. Photo op at Brassiere Beach (Dolphin Bay), then on to a coffee stop just past there that Edwin recommends. We can decide how far South to go at the breakfast meeting..... 8:30 at El Murphy's. Got my new Rifle talle...

Re: I fancy a good hearty 1/2lb burger..but where..??

Just back from Big Mama's Pretty good burger there. Probably close to 1/3 lbs of meat. Got fried onion when I specifically asked for raw, but other that that it was fine. 120 baht plus 20 for a 450 cl coke with ice. I prefer the taste that Duang serves up, and don't really need the extra meat, so I ...

Re: I fancy a good hearty 1/2lb burger..but where..??

Duang bar, next to Casanova Bar up soi 94 past Amara Inn near the little service station does a very nice burger. Homemade style lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion if you want, not 1/2 lbs but about right for me with a side of fries 150 baht with cheese. Tasty and juicy. :thumb: Have heard from a few...

Hi Pete The guys here have pretty well filled you in on the correct details!! Name is Tom and I mentioned to you that I had a CBR929rr Honda at the time we met at Burger King (more free advertisement!!). I recall you said you were saying somewhere south of HH. I posted a little blurb and a photo fro...

Re: The bikers thread

Hi Winkie.... the 821 should be a suitable tool for the twisty roads up around Kang Krechan reservoir that are the best I have found for riding at a "sporting" pace while retaining some semblance of safety. The regular group (up to 5 or 6 sometimes) usually ride on Saturdays, headi...

Re: Hua Hin Bike Week 2013

You are correct Richard. I went down there last year about 9pm and walked past all the bikes. In prevoius years I took many pictures of interesting bikes but last year only fired up the camera for 2! If you really want to see a biker party, get on over to Pattaya. Myself, GinjaNinja and Buksida rode...
