Re: Hi expat community

The only Problem about for example posting the questions here before is that this would contradict with our approach of using qualitative interviews for our research. Another approach could be, of course, just making a poll (or survey) online, but that wouldn't allow us to have the same possibilitie...

Re: Hi expat community

Hehe, thanks Siani! You are absolutely right about the scams going on.

We are actually two friends working together. In case of the forum it was most of the time me, Alex, writing. I'm from Germany, Thomas is from Austria, yet his english isn't much worse than mine. :)

Re: Hi expat community

Somebody is going to a lot of time, effort and expense to obtain this information, yet nobody is prepared to say who is funding this study, what the objective of the study is nor what the data will be used for. I've never been involved in a study without these basic essentials. Personally, I feel t...

Re: Hi expat community

Re: Hi expat community

Of course you are right, an anonymous survey online was an Option, but doing scientific research in this case means that you have to use a qualitative approach, which includes personal interviews, which offer way more possibilities for a good chat. As I said, the idea about posting here was to show ...

Re: Hi expat community

No, I'll just ignore future posts when forum members are getting scammed (seems to be a regular occurrence). Unless,of course, rules are being broken in the process. Why are you still claiming, that we want to scam someone? That's more than unfair. We are working on a serious study and it's up to y...

Re: Hi expat community

Thanks for your feedback! Our idea about using this forum to find potential partners for interviews was, that we DIDN'T want to cold call someone or just knock on someones door. To be honest, we didn't know about Kates survey, so we aswell have no idea what it was about. What I can guarantee is, tha...

You will not be able to read PM's until you have made 10 posts so maybe you would want to list your email address but write it in full eg dot com as email addresses not allowed also I believe.
Hi Pagey,
