Out of interest did you pay the whole 3 months rent on the place in Khao Takiab or just a deposit? Will you be getting anything back?

Skype to a foreign landline is cheap as chips but Skype to a foreign mobile can get pricey.

Gosh that was a quick reply. Thanks. Yup brought my bike GPS, helmet, boots, jacket, gloves, the lot. Just need a motorbike and I am set to go!!

Slight change of subject but still 'biker thread' related. Any suggestions on somewhere to rent a big bike. 500 to 750cc or bigger. Are you talking about the M14 threaded disc that goes on the spindle? If so could you just use a M14 nut and washer until you can find a proper replacement. M14 nut will be easier to find.

Hi there, looking at spending more time in Thailand now I am semi retired. Married for 22 years and kids now either at uni or boarding school. My wife is doing a course in Hua Hin in September for a month so here at the moment checking things out.
