2 Bicycles - Free but in need of a little TLC

These 2 bikes are about 5 years old. Originally purchased to go riding with my son, but he never has time for bike riding, and I'm terrified on Thailand's roads alone on a bike. They've hardly been used, so have rusted a little - nothing a bit of TLC, a duster and a drop of oil wouldn't cure - I thi...

Re: Which Mobile Phone?

I've recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime - 5190 Baht from Lazada. It does everything I need of a smartphone, has a decent camera and in the 2.5 months I've had it, I have charged once a week - really impressive. Only downside is the cheap ones were pink, but you don't notice inside a case. ...

Re: Hua Hin - Pattaya ferry project news and updates

It used to say non-refundable, which has steered me away from the service. I don't know if that has subsequently changed. I'm probably going to Pattaya for a couple of nights next month. Too risky for me - if I missed the ferry going, I'd miss the event I'm travelling for i.e. it would be too late t...

Re: VIP - Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2018 - Top Secret DrumCorps

I've been wading through YouTube, and I think the band I'm thinking of could be Dagenham Crusaders, but I can't find the show I'm talking about. There are some good performances there though, but none as good as I remember Les Miserables. Then again, I'm getting old now.

Re: VIP - Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2018 - Top Secret DrumCorps

As I've said, there are, or at least there were UK (non-military) marching bands, who were mainly teenagers that would knock spots off these guys. I did record the tournament, but that was on videotape, which has long gone. I've Googled it, but only came up with American equivalents. I was truly gob...

Re: VIP - Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2018 - Top Secret DrumCorps

They do it so much better than us Brits can do. I couldn't disagree more. A long time ago, my daughter's boyfriend told us he was in a band. Aren't most young lads in a band? It used to baffle me why he had to travel to Dagenham most weekends for practice. It baffled me even more when I learnt his ...

Soi 80, which is not my favourite (don'i let that put you off) for drinks. About 10 minutes walk South of Binthablock. Soi 88 Baan Khun Por is great for food and drinks. Re: Hua Hin Food Festival 24 August -2 September 2018

I've been discussing with a couple of guys on Social Media, and it seems both sets of dates are correct. However, if you want to try the excellent quality foods from the major hotels, the dates are 24 to 26 Aug. New posters are being put out there to clarify the situation.
