Thought it was too good to be true. Absolutely useless for me then.
Oh well, back to fighting the evils at the bank.

Re: Borderless Account of Transferwise

Has anyone managed to send from Thailand to the UK with TransferWise? from what I can see they only receive to Thailand and not send out from Thailand. If possible, how did you manage it?

Cheers.

Have used BFS on two occasions in the past, and found them to be completely reliable and efficient.Did not use their porter service, only meet and greet.A representative meets the passenger at the top of the sky bridge and accompanies them through immigration, baggage collection, customs and delivers t...

Re: The Quacking Oats? - Contaminated Oats Chips

why would you buy food items that are out date or spoiled? Simply you don't, intentionally! But how often do you check the expiry date on every product you buy at the supermarket? Most of us put trust in the shop that they put things on the shelf that are in date. If you're lucky, you spot any out ...

Re: The Quacking Oats?

I'm surprised they even apologised! I have bought many things in there that have been out of date or spoilt. Most recently packed Ham that was so rotten when I opened it, the whole house got the smell, which was vile. All I managed to get out of them was store credit. Certainly no apology. I'm looki...

Re: Motoring issues to consider when living in Thailand

picscct, I have had the same thing before and was quite a bang. It may be worth considering finding a place that can do 4 wheel alignment as its very likely your tracking will be off now. I don't expect it will be too expensive here as most of the charge is labour but will save loads in tyre wear an...

Re: Thai driver licens final driving test

Toy, when you do the practical part of the test out the back of the test centre, you can drive any car with any gearbox. You will see that almost all the cars used for taking the test are automatic so she should be fine in the automatic. The driving licence doesn't seem to be different here for auto...

Re: English language classes in Hua Hin

Thanks Jesse, I sent her down to see them and they have both classes and private one on one lessons. If anyone is interested, they quoted us 5500 baht for 10 hours on a one on one basis and 3000 baht for 10 hours as part of a class. Sadly we will have to wait until there are enough people wanting to...

English language classes in Hua Hin

Hi all, I am looking to find an English language class in Hua Hin for my significant other. Her spoken English is very good and there is no real problem communicating but she would like to improve her pronunciation and written English. I haven't found a recent thread and as things change very quickl...

Re: Has Hua Hin Traffic Reached Saturation Point?

The town planners who designed the road systems around Hua Hin especially Petchkasem Road from Soi 55 to Soi 112 need to be checked medically for insanity. 555555, Town Planners!!! Surely there is no such thing.... Crazy U turns, parking chaos, mad junction layouts and even posts bolted to the midd...

Re: The bikers thread; trips, news, chat, all things motorcycle

In the end I decided to have the seat recovered only and wait until a few other things were completed before doing a custom seat. The shop recommended on Pala-U road (A few doors down from G Hotel on the left) was great and quoted 800 baht for a decent cover in black. When I went to pick it up today...
