Re: The Baguette

There is a new bakery/ coffee shop/ breakfast cafe called "Love Bread" on Phetkasem, about a couple of kilometers past that Venezia monstrosity going N towards Cha Am and its well signposted. Its format is very similar to that of The Baguette, although their staff need to wake up a bit. There is a l...

Re: NHS treatment back in the UK if resident in HH?

After living in Thailand for 11 years we returned to the UK 3 years ago where we now spend 6 months a year. The other 6 months are spent in Thailand. We now have a UK address and are registered with a GP there. I have needed a couple of hospital consultations, arranged by my GP, and at each visit I ...

Re: Smartphone screen replacement

I paid 1600 to replace the glass and the LCD on an Asus Zenphone 5, at the Asus stall on the 3rd floor at Market Village recently. It took 30 minutes.

Re: Another cowardly farang bashing in Hua Hin

If this man has lived here for eight years, then he certainly hasnt learnt very much. Associating with people either involved in or who inhabit the fringes of the prostitution industry is always fraught with danger thanks to their unstable personalities, and the similarly unstable personalities of t...

Re: 5,000 baht bounty for farang who beat teen toilet attendant in Phuket

I read that the "kid" was in fact 19 years old and had been using his mobile to secretly film one of the girls in the clip when she used the toilet earlier to urinate.

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Some biblical downpours over the past 48 hours, and a real treat for those weather watchers in the hills or a high floor condo watching the storms as they come rolling in from the sea.

Re: New Hua Hin Immigration and passport office

I passed by this afternoon, the place was empty save for a couple of immigration officers. I asked one exactly what they will do and what they wont do. They will do 90 day reports, notification of address, re entry permits and extensions to 30 day tourist visas. They will not do extensions of 1 year...

Re: 3BB Access to Google

I use 3bb and had trouble over the weekend accessing G-mail and Google news sites, but now (Monday am) all is back to normal.

The Daily Mail site loads perfectly well with no blockage or that infuriating Thai Government page.

Re: The Energy Cha-am

Out of curiosity we went to view The Energy about 6 months ago, we were told that the development was over 90% sold and the only units left were in the as yet unfinished buildings close to Phetkasem Road. We were shown around the development and were shown a 2 bed unit, it was thoughtfully designed ...

Re: TRIGGER FINGER and TENDONITIS

Just to update, I tried to get seen by a couple of clinics in Hua Hin over the weekend, but the clinics were either closed or the Doc not present. Now I am in Bangkok for a week and turned up at the new Sukhumvit hospital at Ekkamai this morning, I was seen within 30 minutes by a doctor in their Ort...

Re: TRIGGER FINGER and TENDONITIS

Dr. Nut has done three "surgeries" for trigger finger on my hands. He does it quickly and painlessly by creating a hook out of one needle and pulling the tendon back where it belongs. I've had no recurrence and he only charges me B500. Ive been reading up on this procedure, its called percutaneous ...

TRIGGER FINGER and TENDONITIS

I have developed "trigger finger", an annoying and uncomfortable condition where the tendons that move the affected finger get stuck in the fibrous sheath that covers them at a certain point, moving the finger is painful as the tendon tries to free itself from its constriction. I have had this befor...

Re: Tough action against Hua Hin beach encroachers

It should not be beyond the capabilities of the town council to build a traffic free walkway on the seafront between the pier and the Chinese Temple. It would provide a new beach area and improve the area no end. The restaurants are illegal structures, and if they are condoned, then you might as wel...
