Re: Far end of Takiab
We have visited that area for many years from one month to couple of weeks. I would not want to live anywhere else in Hua Hin. It’s a nice and relaxing little town. Also easy access to the city and shopping malls.

Re: Places to visit in Hua Hin
Ahhhhhhh, You have an Ao Manao trip report as well. Brilliant. That's on my to-do list too (together with the elephants at KuiBuri). Thanks Bigboy. If it get to see some elephants and the dusky leaf langurs I'll be very happy! Will definitely read through all your other reports too. Two years back ...

Re: Takiab Beach After Dark
We took the dogs somewhere different tonight for a change we decided to walk the beach South of Takiab to Suan Son. I've not been on that stretch of beach at night for at least 10 years, and boy, how it's changed. OK, we're at the bottom of low season, so it was unsurprisingly dead, but how nice it...

I heard there is going be a significant tax hike on beer and other mild drinks in Thailand...! Does anyone know how much actually the prices go up? Or is this still just a speculation?

Looking for condo in march from Takiab
We are coming for a relatively short visit with friends during 28.2.-15.3.2018. We would like to rent a big condo or two small apartments from near the beach. Jamchuree would be the best option thus it's a really familiar place as we have visited there many years in a row. Our family consists of two...

Re: Recommend me a seafood restaurant for Saturday lunch
There is a really good seafood restaurant at the piers called Chomkluen. Forgot about the piers - how could I! Yes, I know that one. Always found them much of a muchness myself - but them I'm not a massive seafood fan - but it's always a nice setting on the piers. Thanks for that! :thumb: I ...

Re: Recommend me a seafood restaurant for Saturday lunch
Hello, some people I know are visiting Hua Hin this coming Saturday and want to enjoy a seafood lunch. Not sure quite how lunch is defined - not evening I guess? I know of one place in Takiab (past Cicada on RHS), but I'm not a great seafood eater, so am seeking some recommendations of where to go....

Nice. But it's not inside Jamchuree anymore. It's now located somewhere near Anantasila.Farang wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2017 5:14 pm Jachuree partially unencrypted: http://tinyurl.com/jamchuree

Re: Restaurant inside Jamchuree, The Three Chefs
Go out and explore! It's the best way to find out new exciting things! Or just take a tuk tuk and go to Khao Takiab...! :D  Well, at least my exploring is now narrowed down to the sprawling area of Takiab! No chance of a tuk-tuk where I am, being in the sticks and all that, so I guess I'll ...

Yep, he makes great thai and western dishes. I've eaten in lots of places but I have to say that the best meals have been still over there. Just great.

Re: Restaurant inside Jamchuree, The Three Chefs
I sometimes feel there is a mysterious twilight zone in Hua Hin, known only to a select few, who are able to discuss restaurants, chefs and the like. with nary a mention of any location, thus rendering the whole thread inaccessible to me at least, as I seem forever in the dark as to the whereabouts...

Re: Restaurant inside Jamchuree, The Three Chefs
Ginja Ninja is right there, and if you mean the restaurant at 'Baan Thai' next door to Jamchuree (townhouses with big garden and pool), I recently had the misfortune to order a meal there with the current operator, and won't be returning. No, not Baan Thai. The Jamchuree had also a restaurant of it...
