Four things are inevitable:
1. Death.
2. Taxes.
3. The increase in taxes, including death tax.
4. Complaints about taxes and their increase, but much fewer complaints about death.

Re: Tough action against Hua Hin beach encroachers
´
Tough action against beach encroachers is a cyclic phenomenon. Much as is "They Will Confiscate Your Company Owned House". The Beach Encroacher cycle is about 5 years while the Company Confiscation cycle varies between 3 - 6 years.
Nihil nove sub sole.

Re: Arrested for Alleged Drug Offences
Yep you are right, why deal drugs in a country where the punishment can be so heavy, and possibly even death. Having said that, I've never understood how a drugs offence can land you on death row, while cold blooded murder gets you +/- 10 years. 1. Killing someone the perp only hurts one p...

Re: type O blood urgently required at Hua Hin Hospital
Is this O- or O+?
I hear the blood bank in HH Hospital only accepts blood on weekdays 08.00 - 16.00, is this true?

Re: Swedes killed in Hua Hin
Further news, still not yet confirmed, but more than probable ones: Only one Swede was killed. An elderly man was found collapsed in the proximity of soi 80 towards the evening. He was taken to hospital where he perished next morning.
Obviously no foul play in the matter at all.

Re: Junta to clampdown on foreign businesses
Nothing is going to happen to any single-villa company owner. Except, of course, another round of hysterical whining as per tradition. This lamentation reappears as regularly as the Cleaning of Hua Hin Pier Restaurant Area or the ever-popular Removal of Red-Light District from Vicinity of the Main T...
