Handyman seeking employment

I have a friend who is desperate for work. He will do anything and is not expensive. I've know him a long time and he's a nice guy and very reliable. Contact me if you have any odd jobs you need doing. Thanks.

Re: Floodlit 5 a side football pitch

There is a floodlight football pitch in Soi 10 as well.

I have a 7 year old who would be very interested in being part of a team....

Re: Helicopter

I think we should organize a petition to ask them to stop flying over residential areas. Its way too dangerous.

Re: Helicopter

If its a training helicopter its strange that they don't fly over the sea rather than over residential areas. Not only is the noise maddeningly irritating :guns: but its also dangerous given the number of helicopter crashes there have been recently.

Re: Dengue and cholera outbreaks bring warnings after 30 die

Chikungunya is now prevalent in Hua Hin. Be very careful and use anti mosquito spray at all times.

Re: mending water tank

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

The tank is actually 2000 L - my mistake.

It seems then that the question is how to best dispose (in an environmentally friendly way if possible) of a large plastic tank....

Thai stocks/shares predictions

I predicted in Dec 2008 that it was a no brainer to buy shares in Bangkok Bank or Kasikorn bank if the Democrats got into power. At that time Bangkok Bank was 69 and Kasikorn Bank was 45. Their shares prices are now respectively 91 and 126 which are rises of 82% and 102% against a corresponding ris...

Re: Political un-rest and rally

There is a rally on 14th March. I wouldn't worry too much about it. The possibility of violence is tremendously hyped up by the government and the press. I remember during the occupation of government house by the PAD mob in 2008 I took my son to the zoo which is just opposite government house. Out ...

I think that a Montessori school would do very well if it catered to Thais as well as foreigners ie the sort of parents who send their kids to Yamsaad. This would mean employing some Thai staff. There isn't a good nursery in Hua Hin at the moment.

Re: Help with relocation

I would like some opinions on best school (biligual) to send my daughter to and any info on the teachers who work there. Foreign and Thai. I am also hoping to find some teaching work once for the May term. I am a qualified teacher. And have taught for 7 years in Thailand and the UK. I am interested...

Y I would advise anyone who wants to keep a dog in Thailand to consider getting a normal Thai dog as they seem much hardier than imported pedigree dogs. Agreed. I have a couple of soi dogs and they never get sick. This is an interesting documentary about pedigree dogs: http://vids.myspace.com/index...

If ever a rant was called for, this is it. We've talked about this, Barry, so I won't sympathise again now. The question you asked remains unanswered (and possibly unanswerable) - where do we go for a reliable vet who can deal with serious problems? . I would suggest going to Kasetsart University H...
