Re: The Clouds property development

Consider buying an existing property on Palm Hills. There are a few priced at 10-12 million, it’s got great security and facilities and frankly at those prices I doubt you’ll lose money

Re: Selling a Judgement Debt in Phuket

I have a property just below Tamarind Hillis and I’ve driven up there to check out the mothballed building a couple of times as it’s a fantastic location. There is very little information on it on the internet. Will they be auctioning individual units or is there an option to keep the units? I’m not...

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

Yes China hasn't banned cryptocurrencies they have just banned ICO's and instructed that any funds received by ICO's be refunded. I read that the amount in question is roughly 2.2 billion dollars which is less than 1% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. It's not a big deal in financial terms but...

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

Guy I'd I'd hedge my bets in the last paragraph below For those of you that say governments won't ban them they will just regulate them, you are possibly correct, but do you think that subjecting cryptocurrencies to the samue massive tax, anti money laundering, terrorism financing, and securities re...

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

I'm not sure whether AJBangkok is a financial advisor, or just bemused (as I used to be) at the whole concept of cryptocurrencies. Banks and financial advisors despise cryptocurrencies because now people can be in complete control of their money, and avoid the substantial profits that the 'establis...

Maid wanted

We are looking for a maid to come in 3 days a week. It's a big house but we only visit 2-3 times a month so the work can be spread out. Salary 10k per month and would suit someone who lives in the Palm Hills area.

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

I don't see crypto currencies being sustainable. First of all they are competing with governments to create money. In order for a government to survive/exist they must have the ability to issue fiat currency and control money supply. Crypto currencies are tiny now a bit like a single cell organism o...

Re: Land Fill and Boundary Fence

Boundary fence ( non retaining ) should be around 1800 to 2400 baht per linear meter. If you build yourself supplying all the materials and paying labour it's probably around 1000-1300. Some local contractors will try to charge crazy prices. The first 2 quotes I got were both over 5000 per linear me...

Re: Internet connection at Palm Hills

Thanks for the replies. I may look into 3BB as I think private companies are more responsive when issues arise. On Kodi I use a "build" Kodi master 3.5 ( find it on Kodimaster.com) which has a multitude of addons my go to addons are exodus, salts, film on and U.K. Turks. I dint watch much ...

Internet connection at Palm Hills

I am about to finish my house build and need to arrange an internet connection. I went to AIS at blue port and they said they palm hills is outside their service area. I use AIS in Bangkok and it's the best service I have used so I'm a bit disappointed. Could any palm hills residents tell me their p...

Re: Buying doors for a property

I am using Pratoothai for my internal doors on my build in Palm Hills. I looked for months to find internal doors and these guys were by far the best I came across. The office is on the outskirts of Bangkok on Rama 2 road and have visited them on a couple of occasions while arranging my doors. They ...

Re: Any tip for good painters

I will need to get my house painted shortly and have a basic question. How do painters price the job? Is it by square meter? And if so what is a rough cost. I would like to buy the paint myself.
