Re: Internet speed drop from exchange

No, those are the speeds I used to get when I was with 3BB and they were fine. I was well happy with the service until the eve of the last football World Cup, when it just died. I receive my TV via the Internet, and didn't want to miss the footie - England were overdue a win  . I contacted 3BB...

Re: Internet speed drop from exchange

OK I checked with 3BB. My connection is 50/20 Mbit (down/up). So the 9 Mb/s downloads I get are on the nail, in fact a bit better than I should have. Is this really a bad speed? IMO not. I paid 12 months in advance last year and it worked out to between 700 and 800 Baht a month. I don't think cable ...

Re: Internet speed drop from exchange

I'm no expert, but isn't that only about 7 Mb/sec Download and 0.6 Mb/sec Upload? I didn't realise they did such slow Internet anymore. That's 5 years ago speed, or am mis-converting Kbits to Mbs? Or is that the point? Copper speeds. I'm no expert either, that's for sure. I have VDSL I think, payin...

Re: Internet speed drop from exchange

Speed.io says speed of my ADSL copper pair is nice, the router is around 1 km from Black Mountain golf club, but ping is appalling. Using Speedtest.net to connect to UK servers in Manchester and London was even better with London showing 68.7 Kbit/s, 4.6 Kbit/s but still ping at 205 ms :D http://i.i...

But i will be in Hh only by the end of September, so maybe the direct shipping to you will be faster? If the time is not the question - no problem. Taikka, time is no problem, thanks...

Re: Pies in Hua Hin

Next door to Tesco Express opposite the 88 food market. I'm one of their best customers. Always cost me a few thousand when all I went in for was a beer!! 175 for the large steak and kidney puddings. Don't know how that compares with AP. They do have lots of stuff that I've not seen elsewhere. Also...

Re: Tessaban Hua Hin, blue book to get ID card?

You are saying this after admitting you don't know what Page 18 actually means as you don't read Thai? I for one would sincerely appreciate some clarification, thanks. YES, because I have now had in translated to me.! You come on here asking questions and people go to the trouble of trying to help ...

Re: Tessaban Hua Hin, blue book to get ID card?

^^ It might be useful to you if the book specifies you as current owner instead of having the previous owners in there. I guess that I should not bother, but how many times does it have to be said that the blue book does NOT prove ownership, merely who is living there! You are saying this af...

Re: Pies in Hua Hin

I went along to check out the new AP Interfoods place yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. It is only a small place but with a nice variety of goods which you may not find elsewhere, and it is obviously nice and convenient for those who live north of the city center. I spent a couple ...

Re: Can I buy strong bread flour here?

I never knew he invented that! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Frederick_Rohwedder Oh, he's invented many electrical appliances you can buy in Thailand, including kettles, electric frying pans, rice cookers, toasters, to name just a few. He was very active here in Thailand, even inventing the mu...
