Re: Macaques being sterilised at Hua Hin tourist spot
But will people go to Khao Takiab if the monkeys disappear - could be a few livelihoods lost as a result. I wouldn't like to quantify the dog problem, but is it really that much larger than 3,000? I imagine they hope that macaque numbers will reduce but the population won't disappear, as I agree it...

Re: Macaques being sterilised at Hua Hin tourist spot
Big Boy I think you answered your own question, the dog problem is so much bigger that they don't seem keen to tackle it. Maybe also because the aggression of monkeys can affect tourism whereas the poor dogs don't have such a high profile. Sad.

Cool. I'll still print and take my TM47 just because, but I agree, hats off to Hua Hin Immigration.

Re: Can I buy strong bread flour here?
I haven't made bread in years, but when l did l didn't have a "bread maker" and honestly don't know what the advantage of having one might be. Like Dannie Boy we live in the ME (Bahrain in our case) and the quality of the bread can be variable, but we have found that Alosra (equivalent of...

Re: steamer for sale
Shame my pic of a steamboat (steamer) was deleted. Obv no room for humour in classifieds.... Admin comment: Classifieds rules: As you know all posts in this section need moderator approval, it is for people to post items for sale and wanted, seeking employment, or personals. Re: Junta to launch nationwide corruption complaint center
I agre Bluport is very efficient for 90 day reporting, and completely empty during the weekday. Shame they can't handle visa renewals. I hope the new Hin Lek Fai office will be as good, as I'll need a visa renewal in September. It should be open in August they say. Regarding staff 'compensation' I'v...

Re: Junta to launch nationwide corruption complaint center
The new immigration centre in Bluport has a tablet on the desk asking you to rate various aspects of service out of five stars. The last question (I can't remember the exact wording) asks how satisfied were you with the staff asking/not asking for personal compensation. Marks out of five ... TIT.

Re: Can I buy strong bread flour here?
I'm guessing if you were feeding a family of 4 then cost would be a consideration. On the cost front, it would be helpful how much a self-made loaf would cost. We don't eat much bread, and a loaf of bread lasts us about a week, or until it goes green. Whilst talking about going green, how long will...

Re: Can I buy strong bread flour here?
Can I ask you bread makers what are the benefits of making your own ? Cost, taste, quality, convenience, something else ? I've toyed with the idea of buying a bread maker but not sure if it would just end up taking up space in my overcrowded kitchen ! I try not to eat too much bread but I have to h...

London Boy and his cheerleader (you) comprise a majority? Anyway the manager was certainly not unhappy that I spoke to the 'customer'. That's enough for me.
TBH I'm bored with this now.

Re: Can I buy strong bread flour here?
Hi people, and apologies if this subject has already been covered but I can't find a recent thread. Would just like to know if it's worth bringing over our bread-maker so I need to check if Tesco, Villa Market or Makro sell bread flour. Or maybe bakeries? Should appreciate any info. Thanks! Hope th...

Re: Moving to Hua Hin from Dubai
Moved here direct from Abu Dhabi and getting our OA Multiple visa was quite easy once you know all the paperwork required. However getting everything in order to get out of the UAE can be horrendous There are just a lot of government hoops to jump through! Be careful to get the timing right for you...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu
just wanted to thank everyone who helped me, I went to HomePro, GlobalHouse, Index Living Mall and Thai Watsadu. Enjoyed them all and got loads of nice bits n bobs. I managed to fill 1 suitcase and 2 boxes with housey things, mostly from Index. And could have carried on but the cc and the baggage a...
