Re: Thai Food Terms Application

I love this idea, but I looked at the English app and it's all in Thai, so you need to speak Thai to use the app. If it contained an OCR application where you could take a picture of say a Thai menu item and get an app definition from that it would be more useful for farang. I already learned Thai f...

Re: Car body repair shop in Hua Hin

Scout, if your insurer said to use one of these, it's probably more than a recommendation. If you decided to use another, you should check first to make sure your insurers will pay out on a repair by them.

Re: Car body repair shop in Hua Hin

 Typical of this guy, saying 'don't use them' but not giving any reason or even a hint why. I have had no trouble with Tweesak, they did two bodywork jobs for me and wing mirror replacement/respray. They are also authorised insurance repair shop for some insurers. Even dropped me off at Market...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

Simply because we are not allowed to post links to forums which compete with HHF………….And I thought that the article is not uninteresting If a book or article seems interesting or important to you that doesn’t justify to copy and paste the whole ball of wax. Bait people’s interest by picking out the...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

With reference to sustainability - why do so many forum users seem unaware that web space is not infinite, and develop habits of cut and pasting almost entire websites or magazine articles that no one is going to read when a simple link would do the job - if somone is interested in reading it.... O...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

This may be interesting to Mandy. From another forum yesterday: "All members of the Phuket Hotels Association have jointly committed to eliminate plastic water bottles and drinking straws from rooms by 2019 as part of an effort to ensure a sustainable future for Phuket, said association president An...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

Here is a Thai school girl tryng to do a project IN ENGLISH and retired guys with no job cant find 15 min to help her and then make snidy remarks about her wording.. No wonder the Thais are favoring Chinese visitors. That was why I was angry. People can call me what names they like, but I will call...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

So, 1 to the knobjockey. Mandy, just get used to the fact that there are a lot of petty quibblers here, and old people that are always looking for 'something to be wrong'. Sustainability is not high on the agenda of most small hotels here, as oakdale says (apart from using the same towels for maybe ...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

^ Knobjockey seems oblivious to this... any excuse to argue with some more forum members it appears. Oh, really? Your first reply treated the post as serious but unclear. As did BB. Seems you were oblivious too, so you can stop crowing. My reply tried to explain what question 2 means. So I'm argume...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

Really? Sustainability is most widely recognised now as the avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance. I didn't think of any other definition when I read the post, why might you? Q2 is simple. It just asks about how you react to things during a hotel ...

Re: Any Forex Traders in Hua Hin

Hi. Either you're young and don't sleep much or you work Japan trading hours which is pretty tame. I'm too old to bother to do more than dabble as a day trader these days, but I enjoy it when I do (say goodnight to the wife and fire up my moneymaker). :)

Re: Afternoon drinking spots

Yes crazy question! Beach cafe restaurant Soi 75/1 is nice to relax by the sea and watch beach strollers, tourists, kite surfers (in season), etc. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive. At Limelight Bar or El Murphy (look on Google Maps) you can sit and people watch at the crossroads. Head dow...
