Re: AirCon servicing

Good Advice from Handdrummer My other Essexman advice would be to just quickly check the following, in the case of a split level air-conditioning system. In the split level system the outside unit (sorry you might need a step ladder if mounted under the roof eves), is the condenser assembly that hos...

Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online

Morning Joelle I have suffered exactly the same, no matter if VPN and Firewall is turned off. BTW, it use to be this online reporting site would not work with VPN on, but when turned off all worked well and very quickly. But now it seems to be having a long term bad hair day and is not working at all.

Re: Is there a problem with Hua Hin Water?

For my "sins", I help look after the water supply within our development that is a combination of well and Pranburi mains supply water. I am not sure if this will directly relate to the locations that appear to be affected by the reported poor water quality. But during the last two weeks o...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Just to follow-on from what Peter C has stated in his last email, the best Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) link for typhoon tracking would be; https://www.hko.gov.hk/en/wxinfo/currwx/tc_fixarea.htm?tcid=2025 According to the HKO, Molave will move towards the central part of Vietnam in the next couple of...

Re: Recommended Dentist in HH

I asked this very same question upon this forum last year and was given Dr Nana (in HH near bus station and MG dealership. I took up this recommendation and used this dentist to have 2 teeth removed, root canal work, crown work and a couple of fillings. The recommendation proved to be very good, sup...

Re: Car dash cam problem

Agreed, some the menus on these dash cams are about as useful as an ashtray on a motor bike. On the units I have used, more recently HP, if you have the menu set to make any file recorded under the accident mode, then these are all write protected. However, if the SD mini is connected to a PC, quick...

Re: Photo Trip Report: Sojourn across Southern Thailand

Buksida, as stated above some stunning photo's and thanks for sharing these with the forum users. I have been a keen armature photographer since my school days having transitioned from 120, to 110, to 35mm negative and Agfa/Fuji transparencies film, getting to grips with colour development in a cold...

Re: Round Baking Tins

Have you tried the Index store on the left hand side of the main road coming into Hua Hin town from ChaAm they normally have a good selection of non stick cookware. Also try the Villa Market located within the same building, they often have a few examples plus also sell glass ovenware. To my surpris...

Re: Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

On this same subject, had a very interesting experience to share today at one of the IT shops on the 3/F of the Market Village. Last Saturday I purchased a 4TB WD Passport HDD. Once home this unit worked like a dream backing up files at a very impressive rate. With around 2TB of data stored I had to...

Re: Requirements for retirement visa HuaHin

Great Forum and just to add more to the mysteries surrounding immigration requirements and the retirement visa. I have been on a retirement visa living in Hua Hin now for coming up to 6 years, and today I just popped into the main Immigration Office to pick up a letter to register a new vehicle. To ...

Re: VPN Recommendations

Based upon the advice on this forum, signed up for nordVPN last week, using the 99 USD 3 year deal. Works like a dream on PC, apple and android devices with the streaming of World Cup from UK working well without so much as single drop off or freeze up.

Great forum, great advice.
