Need to know things about thai GF
On a purely need-to-know basis, how would you describe your relationship with your Thai Girlfriend? I mean, do you ever tire of her? The reason i am asking is because i am. I am tired of her, of this place, of all the noise and all the pollution. But most of all i am tired of her. Its not like I am ...

Re: Biggest Benefit to Being Expat
That's a good point. And one that i am not willing to refute. I remember having to pay thirty baht a bottle at the promenade. Unfortunately, shacks became concrete, and now there is actually useful stuff among the stands, like tailors, and beauty salons.

The Thai Cultural Shock
For me personally, I believe every man, woman, and child that has lived and experienced Thailand to any extent at some point or another have experienced a cultural shock an order of magnitude greater than what they have back home. That is not to say it has been dramatic for everyone and everybody. O...

Re: Hua Hin Airport to Operate International Flights by End 2017
Albeit seldom news, this is good news. There were some mention of this in the morning papers a while ago. Though i did not hear anything since it's good to see there is progress. I am thinking there will not be like crazy amount of planes, but those that will be, will be very appreciated for those w...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for 90 day VOA (visa on arrival), or if it is better to apply outside the country, before entering.

Re: Where did you meet your girlfriend or wife?
After a rather lengthy bout of flooding inside the bathroom, I was on the lookout for a copy of new flip-flops at the night bazaar. It had been raining heavily since one week ago, at least. Just as it had led up, I thought to myself; "This is my chance!", and just went straight running tow...

Re: Why do expats settle for horrible relationships with Thai girls who hate them?
I do not think anything "goes" with it, per se. But you need to be smart and think things through, you know. Some girls are going to be meanies and some are more buoyant. In their way of act and movement, their behavioural patterns, temper, conviction, etc. It just takes more work to settl...

Re: Why do expats settle for horrible relationships with Thai girls who hate them?
For me, personally, there is a lot of responsibility as well. You can't just say "hey, i got a girlfriend", do your dirty bits and then go thinking it's over, because it's not. No, now you have got to buy a new car, clothes, shoes, or whatever. Not much unlike Western society, these new gi...

Why aren't there more traffic lights?
And road blocks.

Re: Getting a Thai Girlfriend
In a turn of events said to be nothing less than spectacular, I have landed myself a Thai Girlfriend. We met in the early hours of the Night Market. Me and her have been dating for 3 weeks now and it is looking up. Is it not fantastic, you all? Old i may be, but i still got some moves left to show f...

Re: Interfering Farangs
As i have said many times before, state your point resolutely and conclusively, and certainly farang or no farang you will make yourself understood. The important point being dialogue. Without it everything will be difficult, and at times it really is, because not everyone can speak thai. Often time...

Why did you settle in Hua Hin?
You know, coming to Hua Hin was a pretty hard decision for me to make. But i did it, and i am proud of it. Hua Hin made a pretty strong and lasting impression on me. Not so much for its beaches yet the whole town is full of atmosphere. The place lives up to its name. Let me tell you that! I just fel...

I once did a passerby in the late 90's, alas nothing ever became of it.

Eat your heart out Robo Cop. Good Clip, btw. Shows you the Police ain't to be reckoned with. Good for you, officer Sir. Its about time somebody took responsibility here. Those darn scooters make a lot of noise, tell ya that. And when you're driving, they seem to suddenly pop up out of nowhere. Righ...
