Re: New Hua Hin Immigration office at Bluport

Hi I am on a non resident O Visa and was going to apply for 1 extension (retirement). I somehow, foolishly let my balance drop 7000 baht below the 800,000 baht requirement. This means that I cannot get 2 full months in above this amount to qualify for the 1 year retirement extension. I was advised t...

Re: Medical Insurance in Thailand or anywhere for that matter

Can get the premium down by selecting standard room, basic cover, exclude dental (or 50% cover), exclude routing doctors appointments etc and just target the cover to accidents and emergencies, medical evacuation, repatriation etc.
Shop around and mix and match

Re: Medical Insurance in Thailand or anywhere for that matter

It's all down to individual choice. Cover up to $2M, medevac, cancer, accident.
Put it in your piggy bank if you like but my cover was same as I used to pay for SKY TV. Better value I reckon

Re: Medical Insurance in Thailand or anywhere for that matter

I see numbers like that and I wonder. The bill was the equivalent of 17 month's contributions, and hopefully it is a one off. If, for example you are admitted next week with a stroke or a heart attack (and I sincerely hope you aren't), would you still be covered for treatment? Sent from my iPhone u...

Got my new HRV and love it to bits. Such a smooth ride, quiet and great auto gearbox. Thanks for all the advice.

Re: Where to buy a bag of nuts, screws or washers

Sure - the ones either side of the road 100m down from left turn at 7/11 on Soi 88. Ended up getting loads of bits and bobs, screws, door lock, PTFE tape, chisel. The advice was much appreciated thanks
