Re: Turn off the lights for “Earth Hour” tomorrow

I'm assuming those of us with Solar Power don't need to do this?
Big Boy wrote: Fri Mar 22, 2024 7:21 pm After seeing this month's leccy bill, I think we should have one of these every day.
A solar setup can help you with this if you'd like to PM me? :D

Re: Poor exam results put Thai schools on the spot

if I give poor grades, I am not a good teacher or if the students ask me questions, I have not taught well. Yes, very sad, they couldn't be further from the truth. I remember a very good ad that was run on the National Geographic TV channel where the mantra was, 'Ask questions and amazing things ha...

Re: Major Economic Issues For Thailand

There's a lot of meaning in and insight from this article showing what ails this place. It's a never ending cycle concerning lower born people as they don't want to educate them properly. That's strongly evidenced by government promises to change the education system, but they never do. Those lower...

Re: VPN Recommendations and Discussion

How is this possible? Hello Derek60, I've sent you a PM. Surely information like this should be shared to all? Sorry DB, of course I will share this. I use an IPTV service which is pretty much flawless. Over 7000 live TV channels. All the BBC, ITV, CH4 etc have 8 days of catchup. 3000+ Movies. 3000...

Re: VPN Recommendations and Discussion

How is this possible? Well, as I say, the problems I (and others) seem to be experiencing only appear to affect Amazon Firestick and Android TV devices. For instance, I have no problems with iPlayer on my Android tablet or my laptop. Just to add my experience...... I use an 'Android box' and an 'Am...

I’m hoping not to tempt fate but I’ve had a virtual fault free week of viewing BBC, ITV, Channel 4&5 on both iPad and laptop connected to TV with Nord. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well, as I say, the problems I (and others) seem to be experiencing only appear to affect Amazon Firestick a...

One of the most beautiful places I went to was Kyoto.
The imperial palaces with beautiful buildings in the middle of lakes was breathtaking.
I love Japan.....just very expensive.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

The EV fanboys on this thread continue with their delusions. Almost nobody wants to buy one for very good reasons. They are expensive, unreliable, severely range-limited, heavy, a fire risk, and depreciate like falling masonry. And they are most certainly not environmentally friendly. Tesla2.png Se...

Re: Fresh Bread

Hi DB, Those loaves look delicious. Could you describe exactly how you make them? as I'd love to be able to do the same. I basically follow this method - the kneading is a bit different than most standard methods but once you get the hang of it it’s fairly straightforward. One of the biggest challe...
