It seemed surprisingly well finished for the money:
Not too surprising. Made by SAIC, parent company and maker of MG.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Just out of curiosity, I am finding myself in more and more electric vehicles, and the technology is becoming more and more amazing. 2 weeks ago, our football minibus driver had to attend a funeral, and he arranged for a friend to take us in what I'd call more of a people carrier, rather than a min...

Re: Keeping chickens

KhunLA, are you still in need if chickens as I’ve located a farm that will supply 10 minimum and I only want 5 myself so that would leave 5 for you? Price is B220 each. Good find, BUT, wife decided against it, as more work that she wants to put into it. She would be the caretaker of, while pointing...

Re: Photo Trip Report: Camping Thailand's Northwest

National Parks have more rules and restrictions than a kindergarten with long lists of things that you cannot do plastered everywhere. Yep ... that's what keeps me from going the camping route, since having a dog, and Nat. Parks ban them. Camped quite a bit back in the motherland. Agree with 400 ba...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Happy new year to the EV owners on this forum from the child miners in the Congo and elsewhere. Isn’t virtue signalling wonderful? My BEV doesn't use any cobalt, having LFP battery, but I'm sure your phone & laptop battery does. Along with any other battery run devices you have. Hypocrisy - the...

Due west of Hua Hin, in the hills a bit, try asking here, as they seem to have bunch of them. I'm in the market for about 6 of them myself. Haven't built the coop yet. Re: Portable power banks/stations

Cheers guys, I found a US company called EcoFlow, which has an outlet in Thailand selling exactly what I was after. It can also be charged off the solar panels that I already have. https://www.siamef.com/shop/ecoflow-river-2-portable-power-station/ Here's a better link / price, from EcoFlows flagsh...

Re: Portable power banks/stations

I was going to suggest them, but a little pricy. DJI also has smaller units, 500w & 1000w, @ 13k & 17K baht. Newer LFP batteries would be my choice. I've suggested them to folks in the past, and all thought I was nuts ... Phang Mak Mak

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Re Pete’s comments about driving range with the ac on, my PHEV had a stated range of 67km on a full charge, and on the few occasions where I’ve used the EV mode until it runs flat I think I used to get up to 65km so virtually no impact - I’ve never tried doing the same with the ac off to see whethe...
