1. Its like that most of the year with the occasional couple of months when it is more clear and blue/green in colour than brown. Such as in this pic: 2. Yes, they can be, they usually appear at certain times of the year (May to October). 3. Not as far as I know, the closest place with actual coral...

Snorkeling close to HH

Hello, Actually, I have 3 questions to local sea dogs :) 1. Does the sea-water always so troubled near HH and surroundings or it is somehow related to season/weather/tides/something also? 2. What about local jellyfishes? Are they dangerous? 3. And, last one, are there any good snorkeling spots aroun...

Found the website. It's www.huahin.go.th

Haven't checked it myself, but it may have the info or at least the details of how to contact them. Good luck. :D
An English version is almost empty but there is a contact info. Thank you.

And I was about to suggest a vodka drinking competition Russia vs Finland. :P Maybe we could do it with beers, though. I have to give up even before we start - I am not a champion in this sport and I know Finns share the invincible reputation in drinking with Russians :) If your want to compete - l...

I would get in touch with the Tessadban (local authority) at the Hua Hin Municipality offices. There is a website, but I can't find the details & I think it may be in Thai. I think you will get sanitised figures, but I'm sure you'll get figures, which you can quote, from them. Actually, from wh...

Is it me, or do I sniff a clash of cultures here, that had the discussion been over a beer might never have happened? Glad to see that appears to be recognised and "glasnost" has broken out! Now, where's the vodka? Don't like to drink straight vodka since overdose 18 years ago, w...

Apparantly there are absolutely no crimes against westerners/farangs in this fair town of Hua Hin.
Is that OK?
I'll use this quotation as expert appraisal, thanks :)

Why strange? You're coming on this board asking for information to use in your's. It's only correct that we know where any information is going to be used. Pretty simple isn't it? Particularly when the stats you're looking for probably don't exist. So, who are you writing for? Your ask for explanat...

What article? Give us a clue as to why you want these statistics, even if they exist. Sounds strange to me. Is that some sort of secret information? Or maybe you suspect I am going to start crime gang here and collect marketing information? An article will be published on the website advertising Hu...

Crime statistics

Hello All,

Has somebody an idea where can I get more or less detailed information about crimes relative to foreigners in Hua Hin? I mean not just the fact that crime rate is very low here but some statistics. Need it for the article. Thanks.

Re: Hua Hin - Bangkok by train

Instead of going to Hua Hin from Bangkok which all travel websites are talking about, I'm going to Bangkok from Hua Hin. I'm going by train because my accomodation in Bangkok is near the train station... so don't recommend to take the bus instead. I've checked the Thai Railway website and timetable...

Re: aviation training?

Hi All, Does anybody know, are there private aviation trainings in Hua Hin airport and what are the prices? The government training centre is at Hua Hin Airport, both for fixed wing and rotary wing. The last time that I had any reason to contact them they were not taking private students. However, ...
