Thank you for all your replies, the airline was Emirates by the way and the new A380 was a fantastic Airplane. It would seem to be a genuine mistake.

Air Ticket, Genuine Mistake or Scam

I have just returned from two weeks in the UK and for the first time booked my flights with the travel agent Western Tours, very pleased with the service at the time of booking. I had booked an outward flight at 9pm and was in the Taxi on the way to the airport when I got a phone call from them in b...

Hi stgrhe, my experience was exactly the other way round to yours, which is why I went to the branch on the main road, just goes to show good days and bad days. Mind you it always seems like sod's law when you recommend anywhere and you meet the person later and they say "thanks a lot" ( n...

Hi Jam tarts, play for fun and enjoy the walk, I got into golf when I moved here 3 years ago and then started to get the bug to improve and then I stopped enjoying the game as I would get so p****d off. Throw the club, oh yes throw the club. Anyway it was once I started to play with better golfers, ...

I had exactly the same experience as you Lomuamart took me a few minutes to realize that it wasn't part of the Visa set up and then I walked. It does seem quite usual that a lot of people don't get the visa on the first visit so don't panic if your refused and if you comply with their requests you s...

I have lived here for 3 years and have only just got into HHAD and have learned, well maybe not learned that much more but it is so in...

Sorry about that the wording was a bit a off, I think I should have read it before posting !! but you get my drift. Mind you marrying a Toyota may have its good points, it would carry the whole Thai family around, I think my middle name is Toyota !!

Thank you for the reply, I was aware of those facts but I needed the money in Thailand and it saved a trip to BK and the Embassy, next year may be a different matter depending on funds and I may be going down that line. I just get upset that Imm know the answers but don't seem to want to tell you, h...

My first house that I furnished when I came to Hua Hin was a cheepy house and I only wanted cheepy furniture as I was not sure how long I would be here. Deciding that I would stay here I bought a bigger place and decided to furnish it to a higher standard, having absolutly no taste I was glad to com...

Foreign Currency Account and Visa

I transfered funds into a foreign currency account at the Bank of Ayudhya, I needed these funds to enable me to obtain a retirement visa. Due to the poor exchange rate I did not want to transfer these funds into my normal Thai account. I asked twice at the Immigration office if this account was acce...

If anyone has read any of my posts they must think that I hate it here but to be honest I am happy living here and a lot happier than living in the UK. It was pointed out to me that after 3 years of living here I am going through a period of doubt but it will pass. I think it was the tourist to resi...

I don't think it has increased, it still seems to be the same to me, I still get stopped on the by pass when they spot my white face, I have had driving too fast, driving too slow, staying in the fast lane, staying in the slow lane and that is fact. In BK changing lanes, having a motorbike on the to...
