Re: The Rugby Thread

It's been a great season, and a close finish is what it deserves. Looking forward to next weekend.

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

Dark Matter I've just started the second of 3 seasons (13 episodes each) of this excellent (IMO) sci-fi show. Note the date as another sci-fi series of the same name has recently started on Apple TV+. Six people wake up on a spaceship in the farthest corner of space with their memories wiped off. H...

That would be excellent business for Everton, given that we paid around £60m for the useless twat 2 years ago, but from what I can see it looks more likely that he'll be off to Saudi for roughly what we paid for him.

Re: Premier League 2023-24

Talking of players (possibly) leaving clubs, it seems Manure are not the only side looking at making wholesale changes - I hear upto 12 Spurs squad members could also be on the market - is that right? No idea if that's right or not, but there are definitely a few in the squad who've never quite cra...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

Dramas I'm really enjoying at the moment, in no particular order of merit. A gentleman In Moscow ( the book is fantastic) Just watched this (only 3 episodes). Splendid acting, atmospheric setting and an interesting, moving and occasionally tragic tale. The gentleman, Count Rostov (splendidly portra...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

First off, I ended up watching all 3 episodes of S01 of Grantire Harbour, so consider me converted.

I watched Deep State a little while ago and enjoyed it very much, though I preferred the first series starring Mark Strong.

Granite Harbour was quite good, a suspected murder wrapped up in three one hour episodes, second series already out. A Jamaican ex royal military policeman wants to be a detective and joins the Scottish constabulary as a probationer, but doesn't want to waste time toeing the line. Hmm, I'm halfway ...

I'm sorry 404cameljockey, but Sir Henry at Rawlinson End lasted just 4 minutes. Really is nothing personal - we'll have to agree our taste in cinema are a thousand miles apart :D. An alcoholic English aristocrat tries to put his brother's ghost to rest by finding a way to put trousers on his legs. ...
