Re: WARNING about GDL poolshop service

GDL service - really surprised to see such negative comments - GDL installed our pool six years ago, & it has been pretty much perfect since. We recently had a pump fail whilst we were away from Thailand - through a succession of swiftly-answered emails, Dawn at GDL arranged for the whole system...

Speed boat rental possible?

Hi

Anyone know if it's possible to hire a speedboat or something similar for a day in the area?

Cheers

Re: Greenscape? Need your comments.

Dennini, Check out the following. How long has this development been on sale? How many houses have been built apart from those belonging to investors or the developer? Have any of the advertised communal facilities been built yet? I live in a development built by the same developer. 5 years after pu...

I got the very same good professional service until the chlorinator stopped working while still under warranty. Everything is great until a problem arises.

Re: New military golf course in Khao Takiab

Has any one played this new military course near Khao Takiab? What are the conditions? I played it yesterday. I think it was the first day it was officially open. The clubhouse and facilities are not yet finished, but the course is in amazing condition in my opinion. The fairways/teeboxes are very l...

Re: WARNING about GDL poolshop service

UPDATE Thankfully POOLRITE (the manufacturer) are a much better company to deal with than their GDL distributors. I phoned them in Australia and explained how their piece of equipment stopped working after 10 months. A couple of days later they emailed me to say they would replace the chlorinator fr...

Re: Trattoria Luciano, Soi 94 - Recomended Italian Restauran

I ate there last weekend. Good service (due to owner being there I think). Food was good. I had the rabbit on special and my wife had a pizza which was very good. Nice to have a good Italian on that side of town.

Hi Stgrhe,

I did that first thing this morning. Hopefully I'll get a better response from Poolrite.

GDL poolshop

I would like to warn others about my recent experiences with GDL poolshop in Hua Hin. I bought all the pumps, filters and chlorinator equipment e.t.c, for my swimming pool from GDL last April. I was advised to buy their more expensive Australian option rather than the Chinese (I think) equipment the...

There was a "raid" alright, but it seems that the kite shop in question had all their papers and work permits in order. It looks like a tip off from a disgruntled customer/competitor or something. Anyway, business as usual today at the same kite shop. I heard there was an apology after it ...

I was stopped by the police on the bypass yesterday. I've been driving here now for 12 months and thats the first time I've been stopped. They told me I was speeding, but of course they had no equipment to measure speed, and they had no idea what speed I was doing. I don't have a Thai licence and I ...

looking for a maid. November 09

Hi folks, I know this topic gets raised every 5 or 6 months but I wanted to see if anyone can help me with fresh info or numbers. I'm looking for a cleaner to come to my house 2 or 3 half days per week. I've tried different ones in the past who did not work out for different reasons. Some have come ...

Mens barber shop

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if there is a mens barbers shop anywhere in town as opposed to the unisex hairdressing salons that are everywhere?

I'm not looking for a shave, just a simple barbers shop for a haircut.

Cheers
