Beware the dogs that hang out on the side of the road outside the owners place that just incessently bark at and chase cars, they're the ones to watch. During my vacation i did some walking around HH and i also noticed that dogs on the property of their owners were more aggresive. The soi dogs were...

Is this mexican take out on the Night Market street (left side) between Sa Song road and the rail road track? I went there twice for take out but both times i found the taco´s and burrito´s not that tasteful. I missed the spicey flavor of the ingredients, the taste was a bit bland. In all it was edi...

No typo, but i had to take a picture of the big warning sign (all inclusive with flashing light) at the Night Market zebra crossing. I don't know if its something regular in Thailand, i only noticed this one in HH. http://www.xs4all.nl/~phillo/2008%20vakantie%20thailand%20small2/images/DSCN0034.jpg

The telly was appreciated during my stay in HH, very boring maybe but in the evenings i watched the movie channels.

And i guess the housekeeping girls could not do without their soaps during working hours, cuz the channel of the tv was always changed to a particulair thai channel.

In the Market Village is a little photo/computer shop, first floor on the right side with the banks. They had "a few" DSLR camera's in the window and they sell imitation batteries (bought 1 for my Nikon Coolpix 8700). Maybe they can help you. In Bangkok at MBK i was amazed by how many phot...

Hua Hin is still a much unknown tourist place for new travellers. In my preparation for my vacation to HH i noticed you have to dig deep the internet to find some suitable and reasonable priced accommodations in HH (if your on a budget). Via the big travel or hotel booking websites you mainly get th...

A toyshop in the Market Village sells new game consoles, it's on the upper floor where the cinema is. You can ask there if they know someone who can help you out fixing your WII, they also sell the Nintendo DS flashcards so i don't think they will be offended by the question. Otherwise ask at one of...

I Never really introduced myself on the board, so why not now :P I "Philip 32 Dutch guy" never heard about Hua Hin until my father was invited (November 2007) by my cousin to come and stay in his new vacation home in Hua Hin. My cousin wanted to have some company for his mother so her sist...

Re: Mini-Bus crash to Bangkok

I decided to try the 08.05 express; the train didn't actually leave until 08.45, getting into Hua Hin about 12.30. The journey was good, despite the delay, and I was served with drinks, a snack and a light lunch, I thought the experience was fine and would certainly use the train again. I returned ...

Re: Thailand's rich get richer

Chaleo Yoovidhya, with a net worth of US$4 billion (Bt135 billion), returns to the No 1 spot - up $500 million from last year - thanks to strong global sales of his Red Bull energy drink. Learned something again, never knew that a Thai was the creator of the Red Bull formula, always thought it was ...
