I have to say, in the two times I have visited SE Asia, I have never recieved a vaccination for anything except Hep A (Which was because of a food service job in USA). I am not sure how much they are needed, but I guess I would rather have them and not need them than spend a great deal of time battl...

I found www.learningthai.com to be a useful resource. There are some other good ones online if you poke around a bit.

I think it would be a great asset if those that choose to write in Thai would put an English translation below the Thai. This would really help people like me who are trying to learn how to read and write Thai. I can barely cypher my way through the letter, but practice makes perfect!

Any language school recommendations?
After several trips to Thailand, I thought I would buckle down and really try and learn the language. Does anyone know of any good Thai language schools? Any replies would be much appreciated. It seems like when I just sit down and talk with the local folk I just end up drinking myself stupid. Heave...
