That's a good idea Elinas. I used NJ Books Centre a few months ago. They're well known and on Chulia Street. Email: njbookscentre@hotmail.com Tel: ++604 2616113 Mobile 016 4306474 (I assume you need the country code as well) They were quick to reply to to an email, but I only managed a single entry...

Re: Non-imm. B from Penang

Did anyone recently obtain a non-imm. B (single entry) from Penang? I got copies of several company papers from my Thai employer (to do with registration and taxes I guess) and a document that shows that my work permit is applied for. Together with my passport, a few pasphoto's and some money that ...

Re: Be careful out there

A friend of mine (farang male 50 odd) was attacked by three thai males near the Paemai driving range last week. He was sober, and walking home at 2am, when a motorbike came up behind him. As he started to turn around they struck him with a beer bottle. He assumed they were aiming for his head , but...

Re: Creepy, crawly increase...

For sure snakes and centipedes go out with the rain. Also ants tend to invade the house more during the rainy season. I guess they try to find a safe refuge from the water. Rats are a problem as well as they try to protect themselves from the rain by building their nests in the attic. I have had in ...

My worst nightmare is that HH becomes a small Pattaya one day. This site pattayadailynews is a real eye opener. There are always incidents, every day you see something new there. It speaks volumes about the place.

Done! 8)
I usually pull out the plug at least once a week. There is a product also that looks like powder that when thrown in the water it kills the eggs or something like that. It works very well.

Re: In the country side.

Extra care has to be taken now during the rainy season. Their numbers have multiplied during the last few weeks. Stay away from stagnant waters. They even multiply in the water basin of my bathroom!

I'm not sure the problem is with the bike - I'm sure they're engineered to handle the speed (sonics, airblades, raiders etc - waves are a bite flakey). Its the conditions of the roads and the other selfish idiots on it that are the dangerous things! Speed never killed anyone, its the stopping that ...

Very nice forum indeed. I was surprised how organized you guys are. I wish there was a forum like this most big cities in Thailand. I am thinking about moving to Hua Hin or Cha-am in a few years time and this forum will be a valuable resource. Keep up the good work.

Every month ? I thought it was every 90 days (3 months) ? What is Pomelo ? Every 90 days if on continuous tourists visas (60 days with the visa + 30 days with the extension). Many people did not even bother with a new tourist visa, there were just doing continuous border runs (30 days for most west...

Re: Learning To Speak Thai

Or do you think there is no advantage to learning Thai. The advantage of learning Thai may not obvious at the beginning however it can certainly improve your life if you stay in Thailand permanently. I also strongly advise you to learn the script as well as this is the only way to gain a deeper und...
