Re: Renew US Passport by Mail

My experiences much different. Though will say, now, they do seem to inspect every package coming in. Not so in the past. Expected, security and tax revenue. Yes, customs is a separate problem, and rule by mood. Saying that, about 50+ in county and a few international out of country mailings, parcel...

Re: Great service at immigration - transferring visa to new passport

Visa transfer to new passport is / was a free service. Had it done a while back, maybe 2 years and done for free (not HH). IO did ask for 1000 baht, and told I would not get a receipt, so I refused to pay, then asked for 500, then 100. She wanted money, so I told her to keep the F'g thing, and I'll ...

Re: Dusit Zoo to close at the end August

^^ Totally agree, good riddance! I went there in 1991 and was so disgusted I never went back, though I think they did make some improvements since then. I wonder how many of the animals being moved out now will still be alive to move into the new zoo in 3 years' time. Over a decade later, think we ...

Re: Dusit Zoo to close at the end August

Good Riddance ... as that was the most disgusting zoo I've ever seen. Though limited to my zoo exposure, Philly and San Diego.

Sad part is, they are building another. Wild animals belong in the wild.

Re: Did you leave kids behind to come here?

Bingo....we have winner. If you're going to have kids, do raise them properly and prepare them for the world. At least till they are done their education. They should be priority 1. Any further is optional. People that come here, and start a family at 60+ years old, that just ain't right. Chances ar...

Re: Did you leave kids behind to come here?

In a perfect world, 2 parents till their education is over, for some 18 yrs of age, other, 22 ish. Didn't have kids in the states, raise a few short time, in relationship, and can't imagine leaving them before educated. If mine, and lived together for a long time. Raised one here, raising one now, i...

Re: Rabies detected in Hua Hin

He said all stray dogs in the village have been rounded up and detained for observation . What then , after a few days released ? PKK municipality, not HH, but strangely yes. All strays / homeless, disappeared for about a week, and I thought, great, gone. Oh contraire, all showed back up, with coll...

Re: Hotel Customer Behaviors Towards Sustainability

I must not be a millenial, as this is the definition that came to my mind:
noun
the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level.
"the sustainability of economic growth"

Re: Railway Crossing Safety

Stop Look Listen .... common sense for any RR crossing. Safety is our own responsibility.

Surely the HSL will be properly controlled at crossings.
