Re: Reliable Air Conditioning Service Company.

Thanks. My three Hitachis are still going strong after almost 10 years.Never broken down and only replaced front plastic filters once because they degrade and one front guidance blade (did it myself). Two are in use most days in a large room, usually for 14-15 hours. My Panasonic inverter is the sa...

Re: Thai Travelling to Egypt

Thanks guys. From what I have seen on YouTube, which tends to be more of an accurate account by way of travellers experiences than most online, it is advertised that anyway can obtain an e'visa on arrival, but this is said to be a scam? I will email the embassy in Bangkok and arrange to get from the...

I have tried to contact Egyptian embassy in Riyadh, we are located in Saudi, but not getting an answer. Has anyone travelled the...

Maybe the post needs to include what material your ceiling is made from? I know white powder can be related to termites but you have discounted that.

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income

I can go back a few years to a point when I was going through a similar scenario over taxation in Spain. The Spanish government wanted to tax all income from overseas, it didn't bother me, as at the time I was working outside Spain, as I am now and the earnings were going to the UK, my Spanish mortg...

Re: Camera and photography thread

Guys, Question related to printers. Correct me if this should be in the digital realm, but this is more for photographers.

Does anyone print there digital photos at home? If so can a good reasonably priced photo printer be recommended, and any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks GN.

Re: Design Ideas for Thai Style House

Very good point deepee. One point that you didn't mention, although not related to the house exactly, is access for trucks. All very well having a nice large plot for your dream house if the build requires a certain type of delivery, not just cement mixers. Could be artics.

Re: Design Ideas for Thai Style House

I have been looking into this myself for some years now. If you go onto the Lazada website and search house designs you will get pictures of many examples. Lazada sell plans, some of the designs are tremendous. Also, I would suggest using a website called pinterest, if you login you can search and o...

Re: Thailand to introduce compulsory travel insurance/tourist tax

There used to be a kiosk at Don Muang that collected your 500 baht after check in on departure. Then it was added to tickets, the thing is where will they draw the line and will we see the benefits?

Re: All imported goods now face 7% VAT

Whenever I order from Lazada I look to see where it is coming from, most of the time if it says overseas it will be China and I don't order. I look for a local retailer or not at all. Mainly because of time constraints.

Suggest take the airport bus and airport link line to central BKK. About 4-5 hours, and hopefully safer.

Re: Poll: Would you be willing to donate to keep HHF online?

Considering the money I think I may have saved over the years by gaining advice from the forum, a donation would not break the bank. So I vote yes, just don't know how it can be done.
