Re: Big C, Pre Cooked Chickens

I mentioned eggs only as an example, because in Europe imported eggs, let's say from Romania, are transported by refrigerated trucks. In Thailand on pick ups and bikes under hot sun and nobody has been poisoned. By the way I never washed eggs bought at market or shops. But I still don't have a reply...

Re: Big C, Pre Cooked Chickens

Just look it up there have been a number of health and university studies which show serious food contamination within a few minutes for food laying on a floor. For those who wish to eat food which has sat on a dirty floor for possibly 30 minutes you can, any sane person would throw it away, it is j...

Big C, Pre Cooked Chickens

Saw a little incident at Big C the other day which I thought worth mentioning. After getting my trolley I walked up past the veg area only to see a roast chickens laying on the floor, I called the female attendant and pointed out this health risk thinking it would go straight in the bin. I finished ...

Re: Buying a SUV?

And of course there is the new Nissan Terra due later this year which has received a good reception in the Philippines. It looks like it will be slightly different here (better) but initial reports still give the Ford Everest the top spot in comparisons. Might be worth considering if you are in the...

Re: UK Retirees to face cuts in Pensions

Why does anyone entitled to a state pension ever admit to leaving the UK? Not hard to find an address to have mail sent to, and the powers-that-be have very little idea where people are.. Of course they know where you are. I have never advised the UK authorities that I left the UK in 1982, however ...

Re: UK Retirees to face cuts in Pensions

Strange I can open the article and other on Financial times and I do not subscribe. If you search Mr. Google for "UK Retirees to face cuts in Pensions" you will find lots of articles on the subject. In one article a government spokesperson states they will not be seeking to recover over payments but...

Re: Where to buy Grass Seed

Was actually looking for somewhere local in HH, I know I can buy turf sods, squares about 500x500 just down the road from my house but that is not the way I would like to do it. The reason I bought from there is I couldn't find anything here! My neighbour gets his brought from the UK when guests co...
