Just moved down here about 4-5 months ago after 7 years on a barstool in bangkok. moved down for a better environment to raise my young son. still have to go up for business reasons 2 to 3 days a week (tragedy, that is). so i'm going to check permanent HH resident anyway.

hey there yeah my post could be considered mostly off topic and probably should have been posted elsewhere. sorry. still, i think there is a touch of relevance being that i am a new user offering feedback on to the "climate" of HHAD. As i said, by and large my experience has been positive,...

it seems to me that many (or shall i say any) expat forums are susceptible to devolving into arenas for airing out petty arguments based on "cyber"-personality differences, or turning into territorial piss-patches where some of the experienced users and most tenured residents can rub the f...

Locked thread (seemingly innocuous)

just wondering why the "snus" thread that landed in Nordic section was locked. no concern really just curious?
as a rookie, a question... as this is not a suggestion, where is the best place for me to post a question for the moderators (like the first question above).
cheers!!

Bamboo G can you direct me to a more active thread re: the pool league (if there is one). i'm an active participant in the bangkok pool league and was interested in having a look at what is being said on this forum about HH's league.
cheers

my family and i use the beach where the Nov 1 beach party is going to be held (and it's a saturday) perhaps we should dovetail a beach clean-up into a pre-party.
any thoughts?

okay. i'll do it. shit if only 2 people show it's a day down the beach with a rubbish bag. if it becomes a HHAD event then a 4 week planning time frame is probably best.

I live in Cha Am (at the weekends/holidays, anyway). I also go for a rubbish-collecting strole every Sat/Sun morning. Have done so for a while now, always collect a large amount. Disagree with the 20 Baht a bag suggestion, they'll be bringing extra rubbish from god-knows-where, just to put on the b...

i agree with Raphoedon. there is very real in photo number one, although it's not nearly the "strongest" image technically speaking. also like the overloaded bright blue boat. bit of shame at least one of the passengers is waving. when will the next contest be (approximately)? can any of t...
