Re: where best to stay ??

Well, that is why I told him to look and various websites, such as latestays, etc. Sometimes you can find real bargains. Yes, I am a big fan of the Hilton because I think it has the best location in Hua Hin. Staying for seven nights and paying an extra us$350? Is that a lot? Maybe, but when you get ...

Re: where best to stay ??

If you can bump up your budget a little, the Hilton would be great for you. It has the best location in my opinion, adjacent to the tourist dining/entertainment area of town and right on the beach. May is the beginning of low season and you should be able to get a pretty good deal there. Look at var...

You can take the 11 a.m. Bell bus from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi which will arrive about 12:30 p.m. Cost 230 baht per person. You then take the 1:30 p.m. Bell bus from Suvarnabhumi to Hua Hin which will arrive about 5:00 p.m. Cost 305 baht per person. You can book/pay and reserve your seats at the Bel...

Re: Thai driving license

I have heard that in Pattaya people have been able to get a 1 yr license on a tourist visa but I don't know about Hua Hin. I'd give them (Pranburi) a call and see what they say. If you get a no for an answer you can call Cha-Am too and see what they say. As a resident in Hua Hin you can go either pl...

Re: G Hua Hin Resort & Mall any info?

The Hilton would be a much, much better choice for what you want. It is probably a little bit more money, but the location is fantastic with Soi Bintabaht right out the front door.

Re: Buying new PCX model - First time purchase

I bought my PCX in May 2013 from the dealer on Phetkasem at Soi 94. My thai driver's license had my correct address on it so that was all they needed along with my passport. If your thai driver's license doesn't have your correct address you may need to get an address confirmation letter from immigr...

Re: Thai AirAsia tickets available at 7-Eleven

Probably is best to make your own booking on the Air Asia website and then go to 7-Eleven to pay for the ticket.

This will be great for the times AA won‘t accept a foreign based credit card. That hasn't happened to me in a while, but used to occur all the time.

Re: Hua Hin to Pattaya by Bus

[quote="BeerBloke"]Just looking at options to go to Pattaya tomorrow from Hua Hin (although I'm staying in Cha-am). Prefer to leave not too late in the morning if I can. I gather the two options are the Yellow Buses but the times for these are 11:30pm, 12:30am and 2:35am, or coach an Airpo...

Re: 'Closure' of Bangkok and roads from Jan 13

I just arrived in Hua Hin on the 1:30 p.m. airport bus from Suvarnabhumi Monday February 3. It arrived at the bus station at 7:15 p.m. It normally arrives at about 5 p.m.

We went on a countryside detour just before the Route 35 and Route 4 junction. What a mess.

Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin

I've used this bus service a lot. For my experiences, the bus to Suvarnabhumi has averaged 3.5 hours. Best time was 3 hours 10 minutes and worse was 5.5 hours during all the flooding near Hua Hin and Cha Am.
