I bought a new Honda in Hua-Hin earlier this year with finance from Kasikorn bank. I do have a work permit but the car is in my name and I paid 20% deposit and financed over 4 years with no Thai Guarantor. It was pretty straight forward and approved quite quickly. I think a W.P. is a big help.
