Re: Start of the Jellyfish Season

I thought what a beautiful creature, especially the blue one. Strange how people's perceptions differ. Beauty stings badly at times - I'm sure many on here (or visited HH/Thailand) have suffered..... Regarding the photo's, they are indeed quite something - but all through nature, beauty and ...

Re: Flights to/from Hua Hin Airport

At the end of the day, good links for HH Airport to the likes of Bangkok, Chiang-Mai, Phuket and possibly further afield would be great for you guys living there and others visiting to avoid the crazy drive (4+ hrs) drive to BKK alone, but wouldn't they also add to the chaos in HH (high rental, traf...

Re: Football (not Premier League)

^ But don't just about all "Men's" Goalkeepers move before the kick? I've seen plenty of "Star Jumps" before the penalty kick.... [EDIT] I find the feigning of injury in order to have a player "Carded", or abuse of the Referee/Officials far worse. But of course there ar...

^ Is there a list of clubs regarding their "Financial Irregularities" - I wonder who would top that one, Premiership or Spanish League (I have a couple in mind)..

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

I’m quite happy with Marcus Waring who last year hosted the MasterChef Professional series along with Monica Galetti. I’ve enjoyed watching both the Amateur and Professional series, less so the Celebrity version, but hope they can keep it going somehow, although whether it will be the same now, who...

Have to say though, I and the LHG also enjoy the program - but try and bring back the likes of Monica Galetti and Michel Roux Jr. Far better! :thumb:

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

In the last few years I've discovered some previously hidden culinary skills, and the word seems to have got out. Remember what I said about those pink tablets....? ONE A DAY!! I’d like to laugh but that might be considered inappropriate behaviour and I’ll be sacked from the Forum!! Oh never fear, ...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

Just started watching "The Institute" - based on a novel by Stephen King. Only two episodes have landed so far, but looking pretty decent IMHO. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10946316/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_the%2520ins "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" Season 3 is also s...

Re: Flights to/from Hua Hin Airport

I don’t know what planes they use these days but my trips from BKK to Kho Samui in the late 90’s - early 00’s on Bangkok Airways were on turboprops and never had a problem in probably 8-10 flights. My only bad experience on a jet plane was flying from Karachi to Kuwait on a Pakistan International A...

Re: The Rugby Thread

The first time I've watched the All Blacks this season. They convincingly dismantled France today, makeing it 2 wins out of 3 so far in the series. In all fairness, it's a very much second string French side who the AB's underestimated in the first Test. "The Blackness" were always going ...
