Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
Basic economic principles will always apply, irrespective of additional cartel practices - lithium is a finite resource so as the demand goes up, so will the price - add in some additional manipulation and yes the price goes up even further. Fortunately there’s a lot of research going into alternati...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
To quote myself, nice try, but "you're not going to convert me". The one you referenced costs nearly triple what our Mitsu Triton did and I'm pretty sure it'll run problem free for at least the next decade (as our previous Mitsu did). If all charging had to be done at stations that would ...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
^ ^ Some people will be for sure. The US is a big, big country and any extended power outage, like in the winter and after storms when power lines are down etc., rural people who may buy a EV may need something like that just to get to the store. Having said that, there are plenty of rural places t...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
In the UK I’ll keep my petrol-hybrid for the foreseeable. In Thailand I don’t drive and never have or will. My view is that battery cars are a dead end; those who want one will buy one but ICE remains far superior for most users. Please tell us how or why you think they are superior. I've own / own...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
Personally I think you’d have to be fairly desperate to consider this as a viable means of providing such a short range of mileage.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
There’s little doubt that very soon the biggest stumbling block will be the ability (or lack of) to charge your EV on the move. Almost a week never goes by without an article about a breakthrough in battery technology, well one of these days it’s going to happen and the countless tens of thousands w...

Re: Premier League 2023-24
Looking like another City title after their 2-0 win tonight. Although Arsenal could still win it, that would require City to get no more than a point at home against West Ham and for Arsenal to beat Everton - I’m sure they’ll both win and City will be Champions once more!!

Re: Flights to/from Hua Hin Airport & other domestic locations
^The other major problem is that Suvarnabhumi is comparatively near. It's hard to be successful with an airport that's only a three hour drive away from a large established one. But they cater for completely different markets so I’m sure that’s not the stumbling block. One of the biggest challenges...

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread
If you look back to February, I advised that my online submission was approved after 15 minutes - that’s clearly not the norm, but most of my online applications have been approved same day, although occasionally it has taken 2-3 days. If you live very close to an immigration office it’s probably no...

Probably a case of nerves with nobody wanting to lose with so much at stake - hopefully the return fixture will be the opposite?

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
I can remember years ago when it was a case of “there’s no such thing as a poor farmer” now it’s a case of “no rich farmers”!! Well, I know a couple (small scale of course) who don't earn what they used to through the whole EU BS, but believe me are far from poor. As for Clarkson's Farm... Not seen...
