Re: Has Your Food Shopping Increased?
Last week we ate out at a local restaurant and I had a Thai Green curry, my wife had a vermicelli salad - we had a takeaway Green Curry for my stepson, a small bottle of water and a large Leo for 310 Baht - in the UK you’d pay that for just the beer.

Re: Has Your Food Shopping Increased?
Groceries in the UK have always been cheaper than in Thailand where, apparently, "there is no inflation," :banghead: That’s a bit of a sweeping statement. I’m not talking about inflation but groceries are definitely a case of, some are cheaper some are more expensive. If you’re looking fo...

Re: Thailand fuel/pump prices
And how crazy (discriminatory) is it to have increased the minimum wages in some provinces and not others - is their electricity and fuel costs lower?

Thailand fuel/pump prices
It was bound to happen sooner or later - the country is broke and can’t afford to keep on providing subsidies, but of course you’re right that they’ll be protests and prices will rise

Re: Euros 2024
Last night definitely highlighted the fact that the defence is the weakest area ... Lewis Dunk, England centre back...     And yet for Brighton this season he’s been playing really well, hence getting called up. I don’t think it’s necessarily the case that he’s be...

Re: Euros 2024
I don’t know what the Belgium team was like in terms of injuries (obviously no De Bruyne), but England had a lot of first choice players unavailable through injury so difficult to judge the overall performance in relation to how well they might do in the Euros. Last night definitely highlighted the ...

As I got taken to task (in a very jovial way) when I posted about the film Stratton, which apparently had a very low critics rating, last night I watched “Knives Out” starring Craig Daniel and I thought it was average at best, in fact I would normally have turned it off after 15-20 minutes, but was...

Re: Thailand News Summary
With all of these claims about police corruption, it almost certainly is part of a pyramid setup, where maybe the guys at the top are creaming off a large part of the cake, but you can bet your life that they’ll be crumbs for many further down the food chain
